personality;; A dog of a small stature but a big heart, Osono makes up what she lacks in size and power for speed and virtue. She can be a bit jumpy at things like loud noises and falling things, tending to be on alert almost 24/7. This probably came from her step-brother's demise from an ambush. The lab mix can be somewhat forgetful at times, making her a somewhat of an iffy choice for one of Ohu's messengers. Yet, her speed and persistence makes up for the negative trait, relaying the message of Akakabuto's fortress between towns and cities in almost no time.

history;; Osono, born of the second litter of Hasset's mother, stayed in Southern Hokkaido rather than venturing off like her late brother. She was the only one to stay with their original owner in the Hakodate Prefecture; her siblings either living in different parts of town, even living in what seemed to them as the most remote parts of the country. Most of her days were spent with the old man who looked after their stray mother, sleeping by the wood fire where the bread was cooking. He owned a bakery, in which Osono gained the taste for bread, and tended to favor it over meat.

The dog's loyalty was rewarded to the man after protecting her and comforting her after her sudden depression (from hearing of Hasset's death), following him basically wherever he went. While on a trip to the main island, Osono gets word of wild dogs supposedly gathering dogs for an attack against a demon bear. Thus, she carries on the message and the tale of the dogs who defeated numerous strong leaders to local dogs in Hakodate, later trickling into the entire island.

Hakuro, who had control of the entire island, eventually heard the news from pack members, coming far enough to question the source itself. Osono was inquired about leaving along with them, after being the giver of the important information. It took hours, even days of pondering over the question, not exactly wanting to leave behind her duty at the bakery, but knew the old man didn't have much time left in life. Maybe it was just best to move on before anything really happened, like ending up in the pound or simply being put down. Crossing the sea was somewhat of a problem, some of the pack deciding to swim, while others chose the safer option of a boat. Some dogs weren't so lucky either way, drowning or being killed by humans after they found their stowaways. Osono's life could be owed to her small size, able to fit in a shipping crate and avoid discovery. Meeting with Gin after some time within the lower deck of the ship was a relief, able to confirm that the legendary dog truly existed. Her role in the final battle was subtle, passing messages along between the dogs while the hectic sceen went on.
