Likes: Leftovers from the mess hall, watching the soldiers training and practicing combat tactics
Dislikes: Insubordination, cowardice, liars, traitors, Smith, being called Rai
Personality: He is fearless, intelligent, and willing to attack any threat, but is sufficiently obedient and restrained to do so only on command. He is abrasive, has corrosive wit, is conscientious, humorless, and crafty. Can be stubborn at times, and is somewhat cold towards strangers. He can be serious and intimidating when he needs to be. He can tell if someone is being deceitful, and is a great judge of character.
He doesn't like to admit it, but he's also a bit of a softie; sometimes he likes a good ol' scratch on the head or behind the ears.
History: He was born in Mie Prefecture on the Japanese island of Honshu, and was raised and trained to be a military police dog for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. After completing training, he was brought to Camp Asahikawa in Hokkaidō, north of Honshu. Adjusting to life on the military base was difficult for him at first, but he felt right at home in no time.
As time went by, he gained a reputation as the best MP dog on the base.
One day a few years later, Raiden was freed from his kennel by several dogs, including Hakurō, and was asked to join them. Raiden initially refused, as he was fiercely loyal to his unit and would never even think of leaving. A few minutes later, he accepted the offer, against his own judgement, and followed them.
Later, after the defeat of Akakabuto, Raiden returned to his home base with the 2nd Division. Raiden will never forget the wild pack's courage and bravery for the rest of his days.
Future: He will be killed by the Russian dogs while helping Hakurō. Raiden is bitten on the leg, the wound gets infected, and the infection slowly spreads throughout his body. A couple months after being bitten, he succumbs to the infection and dies.
