Iguchi was Ben's owner. He has a "bigger" role in both GNG and GDW manga than he does in the anime, where he appeared only in a flashback in GNG and doesn't make any appeareance in GDW.

Ben and Akame met because, during a hunting trip, Iguchi accidentally shot Akame. The white dog is brought home, where the man hopes to train him, however Ben lets him free. Ben left him to join the Ohu army but returns to get his eyes cured. In GDW, Ben drags John's corpse to Iguchi, whi buries him. The man decides to keep Ben but Cross arrives, taking away Ben and leaving the man alone. Iguchi is never seen since that but is supposed to be alive.
