Maya is part of the Koga clan and one of the four Kogas who attacked Kirikaze, Tsukikage, Hayato and Jinnai. He fought with Gin too and pretended to be dead to hear what Gin and Akame were saying. When he's alone, he runs to Kurojaki to tell him the plans of the other dogs. After the fight, he tried to attack Gin once again but is stopped by John. Maya, like many other Koga dogs, killed himself by jumping in the fire after Kurojaki.

In the anime, Maya is shown with a scar on the side of his head but in the manga, he has no scars.
