Elsa was out for a walk in the woods. It was a cold winter day, and it was snowing. Elsa's favorite precipitation type. Elsa stopped by a frozen spring, and looked at her reflection. As she touched it, snowflakes spread across the surface. Suddenly, she felt a rush of chilly air. When she looked up, there was a figure standing there. She had glowing eyes and a cloak made of thousands of tiny snowflakes. "I am the Snow Queen," said the woman.
"What? No, I am the Snow Queen," replied Elsa with a hint of annoyance. The other Snow Queen stared at Elsa with her intense eyes. She took a deep breath, let it out, and cried, "Then I declare war!" The snow started to fall heavier, and the wind picked up. The Snow Queen lifted her arms, and an army of snow bears and snakes rose up from the ground. Elsa snorted and rolled her eyes. "So easy," she said. With a few waves of her arm, she made an army of giant snowmen. One picked up the Snow Queen and threw her against a tree. She came back up unharmed. After all, she was made of snow. She glared at Elsa. Then, Elsa created a rod of ice. Her opponent did the same. Elsa swung her pole at the Snow Queen, but she disintegrated. She appeared behind Elsa, and struck Elsa with her ice rod. "Aah!" yelled Elsa. Elsa slid on the icy ground. She slid down a hill, picking up snow as she went!
Elsa rolled, and rolled, and rolled. Finally, she came to the bottom. She had never seen this place before. In the distance, something shone. Elsa squinted her eyes, and realized the thing was another ice palace! Elsa looked behind her, and saw snowflakes whirling and twirling in the air. The Snow Queen took form with her ice rod. She waved her hand and Elsa's hands became enclosed in ice. "Let's go," she said.
Meanwhile, Anna was in the castle, waiting for Elsa to return. "She's taking an awful long time," thought Anna. "I wonder what's going on," So, Anna bundled up in her travel outfit, and went out into the now whirling snowstorm. She trudged through the snow, calling, "Elsa!" She looked down, and saw footprints on the ground. Anna followed them until she came to a hill. Anna slid down on her back, and when she reached the bottom, the footprint trail had disappeared. Anna was starting to panic. She had never been here before. As she walked on, she saw another ice palace. She realized: "Elsa must be there!" She ran towards the castle. When she reached it, she burst inside. No one was there. Then Anna saw a staircase leading down. Naturally curious, she went down. As she descended, she heard voices. One of them had to be Elsa's! Anna ran faster. She entered a sort of chamber, and saw Elsa, hands enclosed in ice. Someone else was there, too. As Anna came closer, she realized the other person was formed entirely of snow. The snow woman shrieked, "STAY PUT!"
Then, she disappeared in a cloud of snow. "Elsa!" Anna called. "Anna!" said Elsa joyfully. "You found me!" "What's going on?" asked Anna. "Who is the snow woman?" "She's the Snow Queen. And she's going to try to take over Arendelle!" "WHAT?" cried Anna. "I must go back!" "Leave me here. I'll figure things out," said Elsa. "Take my ice rod," she added. Anna ran back up to the palace as fast as she could. Then, she burst out the door into the raging blizzard, heading towards Arendelle.
Meanwhile, the Snow Queen was entering Arendelle. Her army of bears and snakes trailed behind her. As she led the procession to the castle, she stopped suddenly. As the frightened people of Arendelle watched, the Snow Queen lifted her arms, and a dome of ice descended above the kingdom. She started walking again towards the castle, and when she reached it, she went inside.
Anna reached the kingdom, only to find it was encased in a dome made of ice. Anna stood thinking. "Aha!" she exclaimed. She took out Elsa's ice rod and swung it at the dome. Sure enough, it shattered. And when one part broke, the rest did too. The people jumped out of the way as the dome collapsed. Anna ran inside the castle.
Elsa was still in the basement of the Snow Queen's ice palace, slowly picking her way out of her hand imprisonment. Nothing worked. Then, suddenly, she had an idea. She bit her hand inprisonment. It cracked, and broke. Elsa was free! She ran back to the kingdom.
Anna found the Snow Queen in Elsa's room. Anna tugged on the Snow Queen's cloak. She whirled around furiously. She began to shoot ice at Anna. That's when Elsa appeared in the doorway. She burst into the room and shot ice straight back. In one shot, the ice hit the place where the Snow Queen's heart would be. The Snow Queen staggered backwards, clutching her chest. In a few seconds, she froze completely and disappeared. "Well, it'll take her a while to unthaw," said Elsa. Anna agreed, and they walked back out to the kingdom. But they had forgotten one thing. The Snow Queen's snow animal army!
Elsa first tackled the snow bears, advising Anna to stay behind. Anna disagreed. "But I want to help!" she yelled. "Fine!" Elsa shouted back. She created another ice rod for Anna. Anna took it and tackled the snakes. Elsa cut off the leg of a snow bear, and snow sprayed all over Elsa's face. Anna chopped a snow snake in two. They did that with all of the snow animals. Now the kingdom was peaceful once more. Anna and Elsa were very relieved. Now they could relax after the day's wild adventures!
