The Fox and The Hound III: Epilogue
Disclaimer: I do not own the Fox and The Hound.

Todd was on the forest floor, his skull could be seen fully, because all the skin was gone from it. They was some sort of silk covering his eyes from when Amos had covered it in the same material used to wrap the wound on Chief's leg. His entire nose was bruised. He had a wound on his muzzle. He had a deep wound on his neck, yet he wasen't dead yet. There were bullets in both his shoulders. His upper front legs were stripped of skin to bone as well. He was missing his front lower legs. He had been stabbed in the front paws, that lay away from Todd's body. His entire chest had scabbed up. He had the same stuff that was covering his eyes covering his tail. Huge hunks were taken out of his lower hind legs. There were big black straps around his lower hind legs. There were bald patches on his back hind paws.
He remembered his life, how he met Copper, meeting Vixey, Copper and Todd's friendship ending, Copper drowning in a river (1), Big Mama dying in Owl Trap (2), and then, he remembered how he had gotten so injured, Amos Slade had attacked him and left him for dead. (3) Vixey had found him, and dragged him back to the cave.

*1. Copper drowned in the river 5 seconds after the end of the Fox and The Hound original. It went like this:
Copper and Chief are outside, there is a pool of water near the side of the house. Copper jumps in, and dies upon hitting the water, no bubbles.
Chief: Copper? Copper? Oh no, Copper!
He jumps into the water, and finds Copper dead at the bottom.
*2. Five minuets after Copper died, Big Mama was struggling in an owl trap, when Todd came:
Todd: No! Big Mama!
Big Mama: Todd, Todd, Copper is dead, and soon I will be too.
Todd: No, please, don't go!
Big Mama: Todd, Todd, this is the end.
Todd: No, no, NO!
Big Mama: Goodbye.....Todd.
*3. Five hours after Big Mama and Copper were dead, Amos Slade limped up to Copper, and that's how he got into that situation.
*****
Five days after the end of the original Fox and the Hound, Widow Tweed was sitting on her pourch, thinking about Todd. Sudenly, she saw Chief, Amo's dog, coming closer to her house. He had a porcupine with him. Then, a huge badger came and forced them off the property. Dinky the bird was sitting in a tree, thinking about how Boomer and Tod had murdered. He had watched as Vixey had taken him into the cave, and watched him die. This, was the end of the fox and the hound story. Both the fox and the hound were dead, or so it was thought.
*****
Copper woke up, he was in the forest. The last thing he remembered was almost drowning, his owner and Chief were nowhere to be found. He saw a rabbit. He bit it's neck, it was dead. He would have to bring this back to his owner.
He passed the den of a fox, and a head popped out, it was Todd! It had been five weeks since Todd had been thought to be dead.
Copper: Todd? I haven't seen you in well, how long has it been since I almost died in a pool of water?
Todd: Five weeks, Vixey doesn't know that I recovered yet.
Copper: Recovered?
Todd: Yes, five weeks ago your owner almost killed me. I almost died. Vixey did what she could, but when I fell unconcious Vixey thought I had died. I live away from that now, Copper. I live with a dog now Copper, she says she knows you. Her name is Bronze, and she's going to have my puppies now Copper, isn't it great? I learned to love again, and I don't think I'll ever go back to Vixey!
Copper: Bronze? Todd, Bronze is my sister! How could you, your using the fact that Vixey doesn't know that your alive against her! You have to tell Vixey your alive, Todd. I know your happy with Bronze but you need to face the fact that you and Bronze aren't ment to be, you and Vixey are.
Todd: I'll live my life, thank you, Copper. Thanks for the rabbit, by the way.
Todd picked up the rabbit, and took it to Bronze's barrel outside of her owner's house. Copper is seen barking and coming towards Todd, so he ducks away while Copper chases him barking, and Todd excapes into the woods.
*****
One month later, Todd and Bronze's six puppies were born. Todd was there to see them. There were three boys and three girls. Todd had recovered fully, and he had no scars. The first puppy was a girl with red fur and brown eyes, then a girl with lighter red fur and yellow eyes, then a girl with grey fur and brown eyes, then a boy with grey fur and brown eyes, then a boy with grey fur and blue eyes, then a boy with brown fur and brown eyes.
Todd: Oh, Bronze, their beutiful.
Bronze: My owner will soon name them.
Todd: Your owner?
Bronze: Yes, my owner named me and my mother and my mother's mother and her mother too, all hunting dogs are named by their owners.
Todd: Oh, ok.
Todd walked away.
Todd: I only hope Amos Slade doesn't pay us a visit.
*****
Ten seconds after the birth, their eyes opened. Todd had disappeared into the forest, but just barely, when a woman came out.
"Hmm," said the woman, looking at the puppy with red fur and brown eyes "We'll name this one Abbey."
She looked at the one with the lighter red fur "Hmm, I'll name you later."
Woman: Hmm, (looking at the grey female) I'll name you Squirrel. (she looks at the male with grey fur and brown eyes) I'll name you Abdul. (she looks at the one identical to Abdul, except for the blue eyes) I'll name you Abel. (she looks at the one with brown fur and brown eyes) I'll name you Aberash. (her gaze goes back to the lighter female) Now, a name for you. Abelone.
The woman walks away. Todd walks up.
Todd: So, Abbey, Abelone, Squirrel, Abdul, and Aberash. It's a shame, that one of them got named 'Squirrel'. Oh well, wanna hunt a rabbit?
Bronze: I would love to.
*****
Ten minuets passed after the hunt, Bronze and Todd had eaten. Suddenly, the house caught fire! Bronze and Todd picked up the puppies in their mouths, and headed into the forest. They ran to the river, and swam across.
*****
It was ten hours since the fire hit Bronze's house. Everyone had fallen asleep, and Bronze woke up. Then, Todd woke up.
Bronze: Oh, Todd, what's going to happen us? What if my owner is dead?
Todd: It's ok, we'll know soon if that happened. Let's just get a couple of fish.
Bronze and Todd picked and hunted three fish. This would be their diet, for now.
*****
Ten weeks passed, Todd and Bronze were still living in the forest. The puppies were barely that, puppies. They now lived on one of the river, and Bronze had still not returned to their home. The woman was alive, and she had found them. She had shot one of their puppies, Abbey, in the head.
Todd: Bronze, wake up!
Bronze: What, Todd?
Todd: Your owner has found us, she has killed Abbey!
Bronze looked up.
Todd: Run!
Todd and Bronze took the remaining puppies, and ran from the gunshots of Bronze's furious owner.
*****
Ten months passed, it was clear that the now fully grown dogs, but they were still living with their parents. Todd, Bronze, and the remaining puppies were eating a rabbit.
*****
They finished their meal fifteen seconds later, and they came to where a farm was. There was sheep. A dog came into view, with a scar on her forehead. She was big and had red fur and brown eyes.
Dog: Ah, my good old parents. Thought I was dead, didn't you?
Todd: Abbey?
Abbey: Yes, it's me. You abandoned my to save yourselves, you abandoned my owner to save yourselves. My owner won't be very happy. I won't hurt you though, you're still my family.
Bronze: Well, we'll get off your land. That should make your owner very happy. Since you are going to have mercy on us, that should be no problem.
Abbey: Oh, really? I, Abbey, the daughter of a very good and previously loyal hunter, let wandering prey go?
Abdul: Look, we're going to return to the reserve.
Abbey: Look, this is how it's going to end. My father dead protecting his family, my mother dying seconds later.
Abel: No, we're going back to the reserve.
Abbey: The only way your getting to the reserve alive is if I guide you there, then I'll let you go, deal?
Todd: Deal.
*****
Fifteen minuets after their talk, the family is sleeping. Abbey sneaks away.
*****
Abbey arrives in the house, she is talking to a dog with red fur and brown eyes like her, but older.
Abbey: Yes, we kill my parents, correct?
Dog: If all goes according to plan.
Abbey: Yes, I will lead you to them. They are sleeping.
Dog: Excellant.
Abbey: I'll show you where they are.
Abbey leads the dog outside, and to where Todd and Bronze and the others are. Todd and Bronze wake up.
Abbey: So you thought I would betray my owner, huh? Well, you thought wrong.
Dog: This is the end.
Todd: Run!
Todd, Bronze, and the others run. However, Abdul is too slow, and he is kidnapped.
*****
Bronze turned around and faced them.
Bronze: Don't you dare hurt him!
Bronze, Abel, and Aberash were all kidnapped. They had dogs guarding them. Then, they were all kidnapped. A fight broke out, and they were all free! Free of danger, free of the dogs again. Abbey arrived, snarling.
Todd: Abbey, if you continue to fight for them and not your family then you will die.
Abbey: The only ones dying here are you.
Bronze: I won't let that happen, not to my family.
Suddenly, they all lept for Abbey, and soon, Abbey lay dead on the ground. She was really dead, there was no hope of survival. Todd, Bronze, and the others ran away, and then, they found the dogs weren't chasing them. Safe, for real, at last.
