Traits
Personality: Tricky, decietful, and observant, Loki lives up to his name, despite not knowing so much. He is a master of lies, capable of fabricating stories with ease, and tends to be a chronic liar, bordering on pathological - he excersizes his ability regularly, even if all he's done is gone for a walk. His adoptive siblings tend to shy away from his presence when they aren't with the rest of the skulk(family group), knowing he is a master manipulator. Loki is willing to go to nearly any end to get his way. He is very quiet and calm, a picture of tranquility even in unfitting circumstances - he's always tactful, even if being chased by dog or bear. He loves his family, but also harbors resent toward his slight separation from them - he, being different, always felt like an outsider. He tended toward indifference, overall being very different from his family, always thinking extensively before acting and never getting too emotionally caught up in anything.
Likes: Watching others, being alone from time to time, peace and quiet, a good swim, spring and fall

Relationships
Todd: Adoptive father. Loki always noticed Todd's slight aversion to him, but could never truly understand why - he always figured he wasn't really Todd's son, since he looked so different, but resented that his father never seemed to like him as much as Vixey.
Vixey: Adoptive mother. She took Loki in at a very young age - enough so that he can't really recall a time before her. While she isn't his real mother, Vixey loves Loki dearly, as maternal instinct dictates. It was always obvious that she had a closer relationship with him than Todd did.
Skall: The strongest of the litter, this was the brother that made it obvious to Loki he'd have to fight to earn any respect amongst his siblings. A constant harasser and bully of the smaller kits - Skall constantly targeted Loki and used him for a chew toy. Before long, it was this brother that caused Loki to grow into a very formidable fighter. Skall eventually took off to start his own family.
Kana: The cleverest in the litter - perhaps the only one in the skulk who Loki couldn't trick. Kana was the one he went to for advise on any given situation, as all four of her littermates would. She wasn't especially close to Loki otherwise, but did feel bad for him.
Bae: This brother was the weakest in the litter, and often stuck close to Loki's side to avoid Skall's harsh treatment. Bae looked up to Loki's cleverness and quick wit, and once he grew, he stayed with the skulk to help Loki and Todd take care of Vixey, Kana, and Rhia until his sisters would find mates.
Rhia: Sensitive and kind, Rhia did her best to not alienate Loki, but his difference in demeanor and appearance made it difficult. She wasn't used to being around such a calculating and indifferent character, whether it be her brother or not, and never really succeeded in not making him feel out of place.
Chambray: A dog that Loki rescued from a trap, mostly because she was too close to his home den after he moved into a different part of Todd's territory. He later found out she was pregnant, and allowed her to stay in his den a bit grudgingly, but is growing fond of her nonetheless.
History
Loki was born at a house near Todd's forest. He was part of a small, unorthodox pet fox industry, and was bred to be nothing else. As soon as he was old enough, he was weaned and set apart in his own pen near the woods. He was given a ribbon around his foot to identify him as male.
However, not a month after being weaned(And before being sold, luckily), a great storm struck the small project and a tree knocked down. The little cub scarcely avoided it as it fell into his enclosure, breaking open the fence. Curious, the little fox soon ventured out not long after the storm calmed to a drizzle of rain.
He was, however, too small and young to fend for himself. Loki was lucky enough to stumble upon Todd and Vixey's den, where the vixen had her own litter. She took him in without a second thought, convincing Todd to let her take care of the lost baby.
It was clear to Todd, however, that Loki was the product of humans and meant to be a pet. He never had gotten over his experiences with humans, and that day chewed the ribbon from around Loki's paw.
Over the weeks, Todd and Vixey didn't really hide that they'd taken Loki in, but didn't tell him he was supposed to be a pet. He soon forgot about his origins, and couldn't really remember anything before he found his family, though he always felt as if he wasn't apart of it as his siblings were.
Loki grew with the others, however, was slightly smaller than Skall, Rhia, and Kana. He was bigger than Bae, but not by much. Skall never gave him a chance to forget, always picking on him and bullying. Before too long, Loki began to fight back, and developed into a strong fighter at that.
Loki grew up scorning and mocking domestic animals - cats, dogs, all of them. In fact, he didn't much like Copper, who occationally got off his leash and spoke with Todd, who sat with him outside the den. When one day Copper brought warning of a savage feral dog that settled in the forest, Loki, though young, saw a chance to gain Todd's favor by bringing Skall, the strongest of the litter, down. He carefully spoke to Skall and nudged the bigger cub toward the conclusion that he could handle the dog, and that he wanted to go see it.
So, Skall, Loki, and Bae went to see it in the end. They found the dog, and if not for Todd realizing that they were gone and tracking them down, they would have been killed. All the same, Todd's tune didn't really change, even though Loki was smug and pleased that he'd humiliated Skall.
As time went on, the litter reached maturity, and began to change. Skall never really got any kinder to Loki, and in fact still resented him deeply. On the day he planned to set out to start his own family, he overheard Vixey and Todd talking about the litter, and Loki's origins. Skall had an arguement later that day with Loki, just before he planned to leave, and passed the information on to the silver fox savagely, claiming he would never be apart of the family.
Loki didn't want to believe him, despite the perfect sense it made. Todd reluctantly confirmed it. He'd always felt very distant, but Loki didn't think it had been as bad as it was from there on.
Eventually, he made the decision to stay with Todd, Vixey, Rhia and Kana. Bae followed suit, waiting for a vixen for himself so he could start his own skulk.
Occationally, for Loki, the painful knowledge that he had been born of what he had grown to hate - a pet - threatened to overwhelm him. He lived in constant denial, and when that denial grew thin, he found his way back to the home of the savage dog, and he would provoke him into battle. He knew that the beast was a serious threat, and that in those battles, he was likely to kill Loki, but the silver fox couldn't care: He could only think that if he could outdo the dog in battle, escape him, he was better than the other - Loki couldn't be domestic be that the case.
This was commonplace for Loki. He regularly had to remind himself that he couldn't be outdone by a mere pet, he couldn't be one - but he never did feel any closer to being apart of Todd's skulk.
His ultimate goal soon became something bigger - he wanted to kill the dog - a dog, any dog. Just to prove he could, that he could kill a domestic animal.
Eventually, he did: One night he was overwhelmed and left the den on a walk. He went a different direction that night: Toward the home of Amos Slade, who was out for the evening. There he stumbled upon Copper and the aged Chief, who immediately began barking and snarling at the fox. He, like Copper, was on a line, and could only reach so far. He was immediately Loki's target.
Loki was unaware that doing battle with the savage canine in the forest had done far more for him than a regular dog could - for he was a vicious wolfbeast, a feral creature in his prime. Chief was not, and Loki soon overtook him. The next day he died from his wounds.
Copper got off his line a day after that and went to speak to Todd, telling him the story. The fox recognized the description of Chief's attacker - there was only one fox that color around, and that was Loki.
He confronted the young tod about the incident, and of course Loki denied it. He was satisfied in the cold realization that he could kill if he wished. He didn't care that it effected anyone else.
From there, Loki was no longer allowed in the den. He lived within the territory, and saw his family most days, but had his own den.
He didn't think he'd ever felt quite so alone.
Things changed, though, when a dog got caught in a jaw trap not far from his den. He heard her yelp, and when he found her, sensed that - despite being passed out from the intense pain - she was alive. He sat beside her for several moments, considering his options. He held a deep hatred toward domestics, but leaving her meant she would die, and bring in scavengers - such as the great carnivores the trap was designed for. So, against his better judgement, Loki made his way to Slade's farm.
He made a concise effort to keep out of range of Copper - who he really couldn't blame for hating him, as Loki HAD killed his companion, albeit unintentionally - and found a metal rod. Bringing it back, he carefully opened the trap and dragged the dog to his den, where he cleaned the wound. Loki figured such a fine-boned beast would never fully regain use of the foot.
When she woke up, Loki explained to her what had happened, and found her name was Chambray. She appeared to be mildly pregnant, and thus Loki decided to allow her to stay with him while she healed. At first he resisted nearly all conversation, but gradually, as he realized he was feeling a bit less alone every day, he began letting down his guard.
Nearly two weeks later, Lokii had become rather fond of Chambray, and she had grown to like Loki, too. A few weeks later, Loki had gone out to hunt, returning with a pair of hares. Once he reached the den, though, he was stunned to find four pups there with Chambray. He couldn't help but find himself very happy about them.
