But the two still talk together, and try to see each other more often. As an Adult: Diana became mates with another golden retriever when she was just a year old. She loved her mate, and found out she ws going to have puppies, and few months later. Her mate didn't want anything to do with the pupies, so he left Diana, with her unborn puppies alone. Diana was restless, and would not stop worrying about how she was going to raise her puppies when they were born. Her best friend Abby tried to comfort her, but Diana would turn her away. Diana noticed another male dog who was watching her, a month later. Diana grew angry, knowing the dog might be hanging around near by so he could get a chance to become her mate. The dog came up to her, and told her his name was Jake, and that he knew her story. Diana grew confused, when Jake told her he would become her mate and help her take care of her pupies when they were born. Diana acepted, and she fell in love with Jake. The day came, and the pupies were born. There were five girls, and five boys. Jake helped Diana pick out names for her puppies, and they felt like one happy fmily. Diana's puppies grew older, and each went to a new home, where thy would be taken care of. Diana was upset, but knew her puppies had to leave and have there own life. Jake comforted her, and she nudged him wih her nose smiling.
