Crush: Luna
Likes: Luna, playing with Luna and her siblings in the dog park
Dislikes: thunder, loud noises, getting wet, thinking about death (as well as any mention of it), being blind in one eye, being teased by other dogs for his disabilities, not being understood by others
Personality: He is sad, depressed, and lonely. Also pensive, wistful, pessimistic, somewhat apathetic, and melancholy. He is very quiet and hardly ever talks. He is usually nice, but can get irritable if someone talks about death too much. Don't remind him of it if you value your life. Plain and simple. But luckily he's not like that all the time. He can seem like he wants to run away and hide from the world. He gets very clumsy when he is nervous. He can also seem very shy to those he doesn't know, but becomes slightly more social as he warms up to them.
History: He was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. His parents were a couple of local strays. Dovydas and his sister were the only ones of their parents' litter to survive. As weeks went by, their mother was killed in a fight and their father was hit by a car. The two siblings were upset, but they soon got over it. Now that they were on their own, they ate whatever they could to survive - garbage from trash cans, scraps from restaurants, etc. When the two were a year old, while out looking for food, they unwittingly stepped onto the turf of a vicious gang of local dogs, who killed his sister and attacked him, scratching him under the eye.
Another year later, he was walking by the site of a building demolition, when he smelled a worker's lunch. As he approached the lunchbox, the charges in the building were detonated, sending a red-hot piece of sharp shrapnel into Dovydas's back leg. He made it to the sidewalk before he passed out from the pain. He was soon found by a London veterinarian vacationing in Lithuania, and who had a television show on BBC about intensive care for animals. They took him back to their office in London, where the vet knew she had the right materials to take care of him. A couple months later, the stump where his back left leg had been had healed, He was adopted a few days later. On the way back to his new home, the car spun out on the rain-slickened road, and hit a light post, knocking out the driver and shattering the windshield, though which Dovydas escaped.
Two weeks later, it was raining and Dovydas was on the front steps of a local flat, laying under an awning, scratching at the door, begging to be let in; no-one opened the door. The thunder was scaring him, so he hid under a parked car. A few meters away, from the safety of a window, another dog watched him. She slipped outside, despite her fear of thunder, and led a frightened Dovydas inside, keeping him out of the sight of her owners. Dovydas thanked the kindly dog, but she didn't understand him since he didn't speak English. Curious where he was from, the dog asked what his name was and where he was from, and he told her, after which the dog introduced herself as Luna. They didn't talk much until the storm was over, at which point Dovydas thanked her and left.
They met again a few days later in the local dog park, but Luna was called away when her owners saw Dovydas, whom they told to scram. As he walk/hopped away, head down, Luna watched him, feeling sorry for this three-legged dog who was blind in one eye. During the following months, they met and talked whenever they got the chance, and Dovydas began to develop feelings for the beautiful, kindly Luna, who was also starting to like him. D's feelings for her grew stronger as time went by. In a year, Dovydas will confess his feelings for Luna and they will become mates. But for now, they're still just crushes.
