Name: Milli (Pronouced Mill-ee)
Full Name is Millicent. Call her this and you’re puppy chow. She HATES that name.
Gender: Female
Breed: Beagle
Age: Youngish, but still fully grown.
Progeny: None
Personality: She’s a very hard worker, ambitious and a little bit of a countryside bumpkin. She’s a firm believer in the statement “well behaved girls rarely make history” and can be a bit of a playful trickster- though it’s all in good fun. She has a bit of a inferiority complex around bigger herding breeds- being both small and not a true herding breed. The fact of the matter remains that she could probably herd twice the sheep , twice as fast- but doesn’t believe she’s that good in comparison. Sometimes she likes to try stupid tricks and dares, but she isn’t gullible enough to be tricked into doing any of them by another dog.
She also always liked Lil Lightning better on the show than Thunderbolt because of what/how he represented dogs her size. She was a bit surprised to find him joining her farm, but the luster didn’t last long when his true colors showed- he wasn’t like he was on the show. She isn’t naïve enough to expect him to save the day, but she expected him to at least be decent.
Voice: Evan Rachel Wood
Likes: Herding, hunting varmints, receiving the attention she deserves, kibble (k9 Crunchies brand), her Thunderbolt Adventure Hour merchandise.
Dislikes: Anyone finding her Thunderbolt Adventure Hour merchandise or finding out she watched and was a fan. She also hates her full name and she doesn’t like bad thunder storms.
More Info:
She’s a rare find and a valuable asset to the dairy and sheep farm in which she lives. Not only can she keep the feed and storage varmint free- but you won’t find a better sheep herder in the whole English country side. She was actually supposed to be a rabbit tracker; she couldn’t bare what happened to them after she sounded the alarm, so she refused to perform as she should. It was then that she was sold to her current owner and found her true forte as a farm dog. She has no problems hunting varmints that would cause harm to her farm, but the rabbits she used to track she viewed as innocent because they never did a thing to bother her. Her owners- Mr. and Mrs. Dabney dote on her a bit whenever she isn’t working- just because they know how much easier she makes their work. They know the importance of giving attention and praise to a job well done and a truly “good” dog.
She first met Lil Lightning when he was brought to her farm, as a means of “correctional therapy” or so he thought. Little did he know that he wasn’t going back to show biz. The producer of the Thunderbolt Adventure Hour was actually an American rancher, and in good relations with Mr. Dabney. What better place to retire a naughty Corgi- than a farm, to do some real work? Mr. Dabney expressed interest as soon as his friend expressed concern about Lil Lighting’s future, because his fellow actors had turned on him. Much to Milli’s dismay, Lil Lighting was here to stay.
He hates the work and complains daily- but grows more and more jealous of the attention Milli receives for doing her job so well. Set in competition with her, and honestly feeling a little lonely and remorseful- he might have the motivation to get to work and do what his breed was designed for… If he only knew how. Lightning has discovered that it isn’t genetic talent alone that makes a dog successful- its skill, but that means he’d have to stoop and ask Millie how she does it.
Millie never mentions how much she admired the small dog for representing small dogs from all around in “hero work” on the T.V. show. She always liked Lil Lightining better than Thunderbolt, mostly because she feels a sense of competition against bigger herding breeds. Thus far she’s found the actual former movie star, Lighting, to be tender-footed, lazy and arrogant. He hasn’t worked a day in his life, and expects attention for it. It drives her a little buggy.
