My DeviantART: http://k9jerold.deviantart.com/

Hi, I'm DetectiveScheper, and I'm an aspiring animator (used very loosely) who specializes in canine-related art. I take a lot of inspiration from Don Bluth, though while my style over the past few months has underwent many significant changes, I still hold onto it still being Don Bluth-inspired in high regards.

I'm just a shy, kinda whimsical self-taught artist who mostly draws dogs because I'm too lazy to bother with expanding on humans and other stuff...Yet. I'm also a bit of an oddity. I'm an ex-anime fan who only loves Basilisk and Hayao Miyazaki's movies. My favorite dog breeds are the Belgian Malinois, and the Borzoi, and I'm quite torn between getting myself either one or the other in the future. Speaking of future, I plan to become a director of 2D animated films; Have a lot of story ideas/concepts planned, just have yet to post some as expressive illustration. The stories are all dog-fronted, which means they're all told from the POV of a dog's eye, and we get to view their own world, as well as see glimpses of our own world through their perspectives.

Oh, and I'm also a fan of bizarre stuff (Looking at you Basilisk!). I love a lot of films/movies/novels that each have a great story and great characters, which is more the merrier for me. My idols in my art are Don Bluth, Walt Disney and Hayao Miyazaki.

I want to continue to study art at SVA, but not until next year because the stress the accompanies the semester tears me apart... I should however in the meantime try to get back on track with Japanese.
