Another problem would be they might do what they did last time, which is to say, do a really (censored) job at advertising the film and not making any profit, which will make this possible sequel(or re-make, should they get that notion) obscure, just like the original. I'm sure that they've got enough money for such a loss to be insignificant, but still, profit is always preferable to loss, as any good capitalist should know. The final problem is that Gene Kelly is dead, which means nobody can choreograph it. I'm sure they could probably overcome this, however.
