When man from another villiage threatened to destroy Verlassen's home, she and her family had to move from the area they called home. Verlassen was the daughter of Kenai and Nita. When the bears left, Verlassen ran back to try and rescue her best friend. Kenai assumed Verlassen had ran ahead, even though she was behind. After all the bears had left, Verlassen realized her best friend was with the bears all the time, but she could not find her mother or father, or Koda. Verlassen evetnually grew up in her old home, since man never found her. Verlassen decided to leave her old home and find herself a new group of bears. The group she found was none other than her old group, but it would take a lot of effort to get Verlassen to regognize her family. Verlassen befriened a strange bear called Clover. But there are some happy endings despite the many wars, but on the night Verlassen would find her family, her life would be lost.
