At school about three days ago, me and my friends were chatting in our lunch break, we were in our usual spot sitting round three of the tables under the great oak tree. We had been wondering where are friend Osman was, so we went too go look for him, usually we would just brush it off, but Osman had been upset lately because his uncle had died of a heart failure, only a few of us went too look for him and I was one of them, I had heard screams and I could tell one of them was Osmans, so I ran towards the screams, behind one of the school buildings I found one guy a little older then me, beating up Osman badly, he was punching him hard in the stomach, I just froze there in shock, I then heard him him yelling something along the lines of.

"How do you like that niger, go back too your jungle"

I was surely pi**ed off at this point. (Exuse my language) and ran at the guy, luckily I was behind him so before he could turn round I had kncoked him into the wall, his head smacked with it and he had horrible injury, it wasnt serious but nasty looking. (Unless I get permission I wont say the details since this is a kid site). He screamed at the pain and a teacher who was nearby had heard the screams came running by and saw the mess. After we were sent too the principals office, the whole thing was explained, the attacker tried too say they ganged up on him, but by Osmans bad beating and the fact I was perfectly fine, and the fact that a younger boy who was too young too have fought the other guy, had been an eye witness. But the school still wnat me too apologise too the parents of the attacker, because the injury I gave him is quite nasty and painful looking, but I just could not, the principal is very angry with this, a part of me wants too say sorry, the dominating part refuses too say sorry too a man who was ready too beat up my friend just because of skin colour, Im very stubborn and I admit that and I just cannot say sorry too him.

What should I do?

That is awful. Honestly today racism is just overpopulated. I'm not sure what to do... Stick up for yourself and if that doesn't work apoligise..... I don't know....

I hate racists...I probably would've busted him up alittle more for that. If you really don't want to appologize, you don't have to. They're not gonna do anything to you for off-campus interactions. Way to stand up for your friend though.

I would never apologize if someone did that to my friend, but I guess that really is the only way out of it. You will hate it, of course, but what else can you do?

And I'm sorry about your friend. . . I hope he's okay.

Wow, that's a hard one. Personaly I wouldn't want to apologiz to him, cause he doesn't descerve it. What he did desverve was to get his butt handed to him. If you ask me, you were defending your friend, and who knows what he would have done to your friend if you hadn't done anything. I wouldn't apologize, he's the kind of person you need to punish or do something with, and get it through they're heads that what he did was horrible, and not cool in anyway. If you apologize, I'd be afriad that he wouldn't get the point that what he did was wrong, and almost think of it as a pardon.

Your principle is kinda messed up, if I were him, worrying about you apologizing would be the last thing on my mind. He should be worry about the fact he has a violant racist in his school who isn't afraid to harm black students. He's a bloody threat to every black student in your school, and he wants you to apologize to him. Yeah, if you ask me, I say the kid should go to jail, he assulted your friend, cause of his race. If that isn't good enough to end up in jail, then I don't want to know what is. He needs to be dealt with now, cause next time, it might not end up just being an assult, it could be a murder. Your friend should press charges in my opinion.

Thank you all for your comments and too Jazzy Wolf, yes my principal is pretty messed up, but I belive I know why she did it. I injured the boy, when I probably should have got a teacher, which in my own opinoin is ridicolous because Osman could have been even worse while I am trying too find a teacher, but also parents sue schools all the time now, one games teacher lost his job, because a girl he had been training for a running tournament, got 1st place, so he hugged her, and he was sued for sexual haraasment.

I do not like those kind of things it was bad enough watching videos, I had too sit through an hour and a half of watching little child jews hold thie nanies hand walking into the gas chambers not even relising they were going too die...and watching them execute the men and boys....it wasnt very bloody but its the fatc its real.....anyway back on topic I really did try too say it, but my mouth was as tight as a zip, it would not let me say those words, I almost felt like punching him again but that would be stupid, and if I refuse I could get into even more trouble...

You shouldn't have to apologise, thats bullsh**. First off, I imagine the attack was unprovoked and you were just looking out for your buddy, I find that reasonable and secondly it was a racially based attack which is total rubbish, I'm sick of other "Races" thinking they are king of the goddamn world 'cause we're all equals as humans.

It may be unfortunate about his injuries, but do you think he gave a ***** about what he did to your friend? I guess there's no solid ground, maybe apologise and ask his parents to better educate their son on racism and how its unacceptable.
