Which of the three Balto films has the best animation?
I, personally, think Wings of Change. The animation is beautiful; sparkly, colourful, bright, and the lip-syncings are perfect! Balto looks the best in this film too. Yes, there are alot of bloopers. But there's loads in the first, and waaaaay more in the second!
My opinion

Balto 1, definitely. WoC and WQ just didn't seem like. . . The animators put a lot of work into it, y'know?
Balto 1 is smooth, and it was much more detailed than the other two.

Balto 1 for sure!
Balto 1 has the BEST animation EVER of ALL animated movies EVER made! Even better than Bambi's, Lady And The Tramp 1-2, Lion King. (I am crazy over an animated movie called Balto. Get over it.)
Balto is so much better looking in the first, because he looks just like a wolfdog, and acts more wild. In part 2 and 3, he acts like a tammed dog. He is awful in part 2 and 3, but Balto 1 is wonderful. Jenna looks like more of a husky, not a wolf. Her tail hardly curls up in part 2 or 3, and she has big paws, more of a wolfish body, and plus, every pure dog with no wolf in em has big paws, wolfish body and wolf markings(Dusty), and one of the dogs has yellow of the background in the eyes (Ralph I believe), but in Balto 1: Balto was the only dog to have the big paws, wolf body and wolf markings, and his tail doesn't curl at all (But it curls sometimes in part 2 and 3), and he sounds so much better, also the fact that it is based on a true story.
Every dog in Balto 1 didn't have a big neck like in Balto 2, 3 .. And plus, you can see Balto's pawprints into the snow and that goes for every dog aswell. Also hear them stepping onto the snow, and all of them had perfect voices. It was perfect animation, perfect movie, and well, I am overly-crazy. ^^
Balto 2 and 3 had MANY bloopers you can notice. I only noticed one blooper in Balto 1, until I came searching for bloopers. They weren't noticeable like they were in Balto 2 and 3. You can also tell they spent more time on Balto 1, too.
Might I add that Bridget Fonda fits Jenna so much more. Same with Balto. Balto's voice in part 1 fits him very well.
Edit: .. Ugh, I sound so stupid in that post. Sound like some crazy seven year old. I am sorry, and excuse me. I am not THAT crazy over some animated movie. =/

Well, in terms of budget only, the original Balto is much better for nearly everything related to the animation. Because the budget was much, much higher for the first Balto.
And I also think that Balto 1 has the best animation of all animation films ever released, especially when you consider how smooth the animation is. Amblimation was definitely the best animation team there has ever been.

lol, I feel so alone But I agree with steet. WQ and WoC had very low budgets
I love WoC's animation the most, because its incredibly smooth, sparkly, beautiful, the lip-syncing is great, the environments are more colourful, Balto looks amazing. Please...don't ask why. I just love his colour, the shape of his body, his face ect. ect.
Jenna did look a little weird in some parts, I'll agree with you there. But, in others, she looks pretty much the same as she did in Balto, except older
I love sparkly animation. I just find it so beautiful. Don't ask why

The first! The rest of the movies, according to moi, were sloppy. The aniamtion had many bloopers. It also seemed like Balto and Jenna got WAY shorter and kind of fat in the 3rd movie...

Well, admittedly, the first had largely better animation. However, as Steet has said, they had a higher budget for that one, AND there were two production entities involved. Where, in the sequels, it was only Universal. Lower budget means you simply cannot apply as much as you'd like to one specific area (like art or animation).
However, I do like the animation quality of WoC. I think it was better than WQ. And I DO like the way they drew Balto in it. They also did, generally, a FAR more accurate job with huskies than they did in Balto 1. Every background husky is excessively fat (in Balto 1). Not very good animation or artwork if you ask me.

I agree with you there. In WoC the background huskies came in all shapes and sizes, but well enough to be realistic, but still imaginative.
Don't get me wrong. I ADORE the animation in Balto! I just think WoC's is better.
Fair enough, the dogs don't look realistic. But it's an animated film In an animated film, animators don't have to make the dogs look 100% realistic! Like, in Balto, Balto had yellow eyes with red pupils(WTF?!) and all the dogs had Human eyes. And they all talked

All animated films have many bloopers, the problem is only when the bloopers are very visible. (such as in Wolf Quest...) I think it's more an artistic choice than anything...

I agree ^^ But I find the bloopers in Balto 1 fairly visible. No offense at all
They are also noticeable in WoC. Especially Colour Bloopers, which were annoying. But, at least it wasn't as bad as WQ's.
I'm not trying to turn this into an argument. I'm just stating my opinion. And I made this Poll so that other people can do the same ^^
