WARNING! THIS IS A TOPIC ONLY FOR TEENS! IT IS NOT A WAR TOPIC! DO NOT FLAME!

I wan't to know, out of pure opinion what rules that the TEEN MEMBERS think should have stayed the same, and what should have changed. There have recently been a lot of rule changes, and I want to know only what the TEENS think. Right now I really do not care about kids under 12. This is not a topic to criticize Steet, I just want opinions ONLY!

there are some basic rules to this topic though, because it's not meant to start a war.

1) NO ONE can attack steet in thier opinion
2) NO ONE can attack another person based on thier opinion
3) what EVERYONE says MUST be respected
4) NO singling people in particular out to prove a point
5) This is NOT a WAR topic! ANYONE who tries to make it so is getting reported!

Why single people out like that? I'm sure that members under 12 may have something to say about the rules.

Although, I have a feeling that this will start a flame war. Steet already changed the fanfiction rules; what more do you want from him?

I already said this is not about attacking steet. I just want an opinion from everyone. It's not about the fanfiction.

As far as not allowing the younger children's opinions, I have already heard them in the other topics here, I want to hear what the teens have to say now.

I'm probably should come up with some rules directed around this topic, because it's not meant to be a war, it's meant to let some of the other members be heard.

Okay Rozalyn the rules have been changed for fan-fics etc. Their isn't really much more to be said, what is done is done. Steet decided it himself, if you have a problem with the rules I suggest pming him directly. I am going to lock this topic because I don't want it to evolve into something bigger. If you have a problem with the rules please PM Steet and send him your views or pm other teen members privately and write a polite letter with a message to why you think the change in these rules is unfair and you shall get answers.

I changed it, and added some rules to avoid any wars happening, that is NOT what this is for!

As far as TicTak said, I do agree with you, some of the rules shouldn't have changed, but that is my opinion. I do think that justice was involed with the rule change, but I didn't at all see equality to the member apply. At least not as much as it should have, to me anyway.

Well, for one, I think the 'no animated avatars or signatrues allowed!' is pretty stupid. People say, 'Ooohh, but it attracts people's attention!'
Pfft. Please. They're not going to stare at your avatar/signature the whole day. Yes, they probably will get distracted, but they'll soon grow bored of it and go back to the topic.

Yes, that's true, but did you ever think about the internet connections of other people? Some members don't have high-speed internet, and so these images slow down the time it takes to load the page. It's not fun, and it really isn't fair.

I'd love to have an animated signature or avatar, you know. I'm not against them. I just don't like what they do to the page whenever you try to look at a topic.

if a situation arises, then change the rule that the situation stemed from. Simple, but effective.

Well, I used to think the same thing about the animated sigs, but I really don't know about them now. They do affect people's computers, some even cause crashes, but they are still cool.

As for Silver_Balto, that's why the rules are being changed, but that doesn't mean they are being changed to suit the majority. I saw a lot of topics that caused the rules to be changed for a select group of people, but it wasn't fair to the opposing side.

You have no evidence of that. There are, in fact, only a handful of you complaining about Steet's revisions (you and TikTac being the most vocal), which are VERY FAIR. They are designed to still give writers like you breathing room, but also offer some measure of protection to the "kid-friendly" nature of this site.

TO DREWTHEWOLF: I KNEW this was going to be slipped in. Now the topic needs to be locked. Or it's gonna deteriorate fast. Not only is Rozalyn accusing Steet of catering to a minority, but she is laying the groundwork for a flame war.
