I bought it about a week ago.
IT'S AWESOME!
The graphics are astounding, and the characters actually like... jerk when you hit them multiple times (like with an automatic weapon).
They did their research on this one, because when you have to counter-sniper someone, you can see the sunlight reflecting off of their scope.
(If you look hard enough)
It's a lot of fun, and has a solid multiplayer also.
On the subject of the guys you control.
They tend to be bullet magnets, and they don't seem to mind.
One of my guys (of his own accord) just jumped up, and charged a position that had three machine guns guarding it!
Well, he died.
The good thing though is that (like BIA) you don't have to keep all of your guys alive to beat the mission (though you get rewards if you do).
So I don't even bother healing them, they just run out and get blown away again.
I can use the health for myself.
I set it on the easiest difficulty, and it has taken me a week (playing about six hours a day) to get to the last level.
Wait till you get there, it's INSANE!
All I'll say is this:
Battle of the Bulge.
*Shudders at the memory of the slaughter that befell him there last night*
I Played that level for two hours yesterday, and moved about twenty yards.
Ouch.
Two words.
Tanks.... Machine guns.
Again, Ouch.
the game also has a new feature, called adrenaline.
There is a red gauge at the bottom right hand corner of the screen that measures this.
You gain adrenaline by: Getting headshots, killing more than one enemy at a time (multiple kills) and using your rifle to clobber the enemy.
When the bar is full, you push the D-pad (if you have a PS2 like me) up, and you enter adrenaline mode, what that means is this: You have unlimited ammo, are invincible, and everything around you moves extremly slow, while you keep your normal rate of movement. This lasts for about thirty seconds.
It's a good feature.
That, and besides the main objective, there are "sub-objectives" about 7 of them on every level, that you can complete for more lives, health or Ammo.
That's what takes so long.
Like BIA, each weapon has an aiming mode now, in which the cross hairs disapear, and you're looking down the weapons actual "iron sights" (with the exeption of the sniper rifles that is)
Steet, looks like you and I share another common ground, sniping.
I wanted to be a sniper when I joinbed the Corps, but I wear glasses.
I've still self trained myself though, by talking to them, and getting them to teach me.
It's messy business.
Well, that's all for now.

Err...did I say that
Anyway, I haven't played any Medal of honor, not even war games like this, but I'll try to get the first one.

My appolagies Steet, that was lonewolf, and yes, to answer your question lonewolf I do have a favorite weapon, and it is the M1 Garrand Sniper Rifle.
It packs a bit more punch than the springfield, and has a post scope.
(Instead of crosshairs, it has one line from the bottom of the scope to the middle, and then a black dot) Which is what I shoot with.
It's an AWESOME game, and yes, the BAR is a VERY formidible (fairly fast and very powerful) weapon, though you can't shoot what you can't see (lol) The first time I hope you know I'm near is my gunshot.
The Talkeet triology is coming along fine, and I'm going to send you (lonewolf) a PM here in just a minute, so check your box.
THANKS!

Isn't it M1 Garand?
My favorite is the Folding Carbine:
It was designed for the paratroopers in world war two.

The folding carbine is pretty light, but its also weak in hit power. I've heard that some enemies got hit 2-3 times by it and they kept going!
I am also curious about this 'M1 Garand sniper.' It sounds cool.
*sighs* The accuracy and dependability of an M1 Garand with a post scope...
*vanishes into the underbrush with said weapon in hand, laughing softly*
...
"Let's reach out and touch someone!....like that machine gunner!" BAM!
"Bulls-eye!"
I can't wait to get that game!! Those Germans won't know I'm there until it's too late! *evil, yet funny, laughter*
