Well, following the topic which keep getting a debate whether there should be PG+ rated fanfics on the site, or not at all, I think the best thing to do is to see what is the opinion of the visitors.

So, this is a poll where you'll be able to choose. I will then make the appropriate changes (or not), according to the final result.

I think that maybe you should block the younger users from reading them, and let the older ones read them. (If you know their age of course.)

Although I see nothing wrong with romance or violence in a story, I think there should be a limit.
So I voted that only most violent or sexual ones should be removed.
I don't think we have any that fit into that category, but I haven't read them all...

That's another problem, I think you're the only mod who read the fanfics and rate them, but if you don't read them all, it can't work. So I guess we would have to find some way so that the fanfics get the rating they should have...

There is nothing wrong with characters in a fan fiction being exposed to danger (as in the bear Balto and Jenna faced in Balto 1, or the moose Balto faced in Balto 3, etc.). But this extreme dark and gory violence is unacceptable.

But so long as this IS a kid-friendly site, ANY fan fiction which has anything more in it than the slightest hint of innuendo with regard to heterosexual intimacy is a violation of good taste and good form, as well as moral and ethical boundaries. And it should NOT be allowed.

And so I have cast my vote.

I have a mixed opinion on the whole thing. I mean, if you're going to get rid of all the "non-kid-friendly" fics, then obviously some of this fanart isnt appropriate that I have seen.

But personally, I dont think that all these fics should be done away with. I mean, a few of them should. As much as I love Cat's fics, sense I am so open-minded like this, I think that it should be moderated more to fit the site.

As for Kodi & Kirby being gay, I think that shouldnt be posted here, just as a believe Klaus shouldnt have edited his Jenna & Balto pic & put it on here... But anyways.

Its better not to ruin the minds of younger children, because sometimes it affects you more than you want... I would personally know.

And as for the fighting, gore stuffs. I mean, I think it should all be placed as a minimum. Because you cant make all stories have a happy ending with nothing exciting and the char' saying "Golly, Oh Gee!" All the time. Thats just stupid, in my opinion. Thats like soooo pre-school. But we also dont need things such as this.

Wolf tore at Darkpelt's throat, blood spilling onto her muzzle. But as she pulled away, Darkpelt's jaws latched onto her ear, painfully tearing it away, watching blood spill into Wolf's eyes.

Yeah, and that wasnt that bad. I was having trouble thinking of anything. And as you can see, I used to char's of my own for example there. But thats not what needs to be read on BaltoSource, expecially with Balto fics.

Only the really bad love scenes... describing... what happenes should be taken down. But the Kodi/Kirby and other fics like that should STAY. Those tend to be the most interensting to some readers.



I agree with that. Most fanfic writters who have violence always put a warning, too. People just need to acctuly READ those.
