I hardly think it's torture since they sell clothes for cats...

Dogs and cats should not wear clothes, people won't always know whether they like it or not. If the dog or cat has short hair and its winter, then you might need to put a sweater on it to keep it warm, but it's crazy to dress them up.

Agreed. I'm pretty angry at the fact that people buy shoes for their animals. Completely ridiculous.

Shoes?! If its a working animal in the winter, you might have to put booties on it. If it has a foot disease you might have to put booties on it to help keep medicine on it. Or it's working horse or a working horse type thing, then yes, also. But shoes on every animal, I must say it is rediculous!

I agree...why do you think that they have fur?

To keep them warm? Rarely will you need to put clothes on an animal except for short-haired animals in winter and working animals.

You people are crazy. I am dressing up my dog for halloween, and I seen many dogs dressed up for halloween. Plus, my friend dressed up her beagle and painted it's claws/nails pink.

Actually, I call people crazy that do exactly that to their pets...

I still hate animal shoes no matter what. Put on boots on your dog/cat just because it's winter? Please. They have pads and fur on the soles of their paws, they don't need boots.

And for Halloween, I'm perfectly fine with owners dressing up their animals for that one day. We're talking about the fact that animals wear clothes every day.

I don't dress up my animals everyday, or paint my animals. Maybe a little something for halloween, but I take it off later. I hardly even keep it on for 2 hours or anything. On xmas, maybe a small xmas hat but I took it off after I was done taking pics with the xmas hat .. And, maybe a shirt for one min .. But I still take it off. I hardly ever dress up my animals ....

Agreed. Yeah it wouldn't hurt to stick a goofy hat, collar, or shirt on the animal for a couple hours then take it off. I might stick a goofy hat on both of my dogs for Halloween and then take them trick-or-treating with me.

Arrowe, haven't you seen Snowdogs the movie? In it, they put little boots on the dogs, to protect them from frostbite. If it has a foot or leg problem, to help the foot or leg heal, you might need to put a bootie on it. Haven't you looked in pet-supply catalogs?
