It's not annoying. It serves as a suggestion and a small news line. It was Dan's idea, and he has the power to change what it says.

The topic line's awesome...I remember when Dan was changing it to say weird things (that was back when no one knew who was changing it) and he still is. I like it...it usualy has something funny on it...
Plus, it's not that hard to ignore...

Well. I don't see anything thats so wrong about it. I reckon the things he puts there are very humerous. So its not really a big 'crime'. If it bugs you that much just ignore it  I'm sure its not such a big issue.

Ok, if you think THAT'S annoying, what about the people that constantly ask you "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT? WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?" I find THAT 10 times more annoying than the topic line. The topic line is for those "utterly confused folks" so that they shut up and know what everyone else is talking about.
