Change in Avatars and Signatures

I have been hoping for a section like this... i do have one thing that does bother me.

On some people's avatars, or their signatures, they have words that I wouldn't agree should be veiwable by the general public. Especially youth, who should not be seeing these words. Now, I'm not going to point out specific people, but I highly recommend that there is a mod or two who keep their eyes open for such words, and if they do see one that looks offensive enough, can report to the person and request that they change their way of speech. I myself do not like seeing this, and I would feel as if this site was much more safe and enjoyable, for all ages, as it should be - this is a Balto fan site, not a place to let yourself run loose! There are many age groups and ranges here, so I would feel much better about how the active members portray themselves if this was taken care of.

I completely agree. This is supposed to be a censored forum. That's probably why there is a censoring program that turns profanity into asteriks.

but I have a small question: Does my sig count? All it says is "*****." We get away with saying that at school, but I want to make sure.

Well, I'm not sure if this is really as bad as some things I've seen... I don't think someone under 5 would know what that meant, but it may be something stratling to some. It may count, I suppose we'l have to wait to see what others think first. :wink:

I don't remember seing any with..bad(?) words on them, and silver_balto I don't think yours counts, cause I think it's funny xD

well, apparently my sig was counted as inappropriate (which I will not argue about. It's not real hassle to find another appropriate one.)

Yes, I know of someone (not going to say their name) who has a inappropriate avatar (it says: ERROR 404: The icon you are trying to find is currently p*ssed off)

Well, that too... I don't think younger people should be seeing that, even if there as "*" to replace something. It's not good, in my opinion.
