Hmm, I dunno really. I do have Pros and Cons to each side of it:
Pros - 1st Half: Well, I have to agree with BaltoSeppala on the fact that having Balto and Jenna with children is the best part. I mean, you got to see how Balto feels, with him being a new father and all, (such a shame Jenna wasn't shown being with the pups that much - with exception of her after giving birth and her tears as each pup left her sheltering, motherly grip) and witnessing the nightmarish dreams that leave Balto with cold sweats and sleepless nights soon leads up to the climatic second half (where apparently all is understood and revealed).
Cons: No names for the other two pups, and Jenna's lack of character (Yes, I understand that it was her job to be the pup's mother, but I saw very little interaction with her and the pups. Can't a mom have fun with her children too? It's not fair!) and action (when Aleu ran away, but we all understand why that happened - Universal wanted it to be a "wolf" movie . . . not a "wolf-hybrid/husky" movie. It was all about the wolf, and none about the husky. Shaaaaaaame.).

Pros - 2nd half: Well, this is where all of the "big" action is. (Yeah, BIG action.) Aleu discovers her spirit guide that explains to her what she must do (because we all know that if she turned back and returned to Nome, she would have become Dusty.

No, really, she would have felt trapped inside a world that her kind were not accepted (and yet her father was? Hmm . . .). Makes you think, eh?), father and daughter are reunited, and we meet the "wolf pack" from Balto's first dream (At least, I think it is . . . I couldn't tell really - they were all shadowed in black.). Destiny is realized as the fate of the pack, the rivaling wolves, and the two part wolves discover where they all belong.
Other than that, the mysticism with Nava and Muru was okay; the reveal of who Aniu really was was an awesome touch; and the touching ending was great.
Cons: The songs (too childish - but very catchy and easy to understand), the weak villain (Niju is a cat . . . a scared, little cat with his tail between his legs . . . and an obivous Steele-if-he-was-a-wolf clone.), and the whole . . . TREE thing. Seriously, what is with that?
Also, I agree - Aleu went from wolf (in the first half) to worse (with the *cough*fighting*cough* in the second half). I mean, seriously, she's gonna lead a wolf pack . . . as a weak fighter? I suppose it's the recessive side from her mother . . . (or maybe Balto himself - he tried to avoid fighting at all in the first film, while Jenna kicked that bear's butt in the forest. Hmm, Who's the weaker part of the gene pool?)
===============================================
Final Verdict: I think I'd side with the second half. I thought the first half was kind of bland and boring . . . you knew that Aleu was the only wolfish-looking pup there and that she would soon find out her wolf heritage . . . the second half allowed her to be a part of the heritage that she hated her father for . . . (to think in the end, she chose to stay there . . . Odd, no?)
