Now that's a surprise...
I was visiting the french gaming site "Gamekult", which is the most famous video games site here.
When something ticked me. I found these :
http://www.gamekult.com/tout/jeux/fiche ... 79146.html
http://www.gamekult.com/tout/jeux/fiche ... 79131.html
Those are two games coming out next month, and I can't find any information on them at all...
Now, why have I posted this here? Well, don't forget that both Casper and An American Tail are Universal properties...So, I don't know if these games will be good or not, that's the question.
But why does Balto get left out, again and again?? If they can make games for these franchises, why not Balto? Grrrr....
EDIT : I also found a Babe game from the same developer, and Babe is also a Universal property...

Well...the Question is, What kind of game you would actually do out of Balto? What sort of game which doesn't requie too much of money and etc?
Old Good 2D grapich game? Well could be good but what to do in it? Hunt bananas or coins and fight against bosses which are Steele, or random street dog or a bear? Nah wouldn't be so interesting.
3D grapich game like Disney's Dalmatian? Well actually it wouldn't fit on Balto...so its kind of hard...first you need to find WHAT kind of game it would be, then plan it and make it...
That's often the problem...what kind of game it could be...Quiz? Nah, 2D jumping one? Donno 3D game where is running out in wild controlling Balto, it would be good but yet it should be made longer than it was...so that there's many levels...and some movie clitches from Balto one...it would be good, same from Balto2 and Etc...

You DONT understand me, the problem is not there.
The problem is that, once again, Balto has been forgotten...
ONCE AGAIN.

it's quite sad really. Universal knows how many fans of Balto exist, and yet they don't make a game based off it.
It you ask my opinion, I think some sort of adventure game or racing game would be a good idea. Maybe something like you play through the first movie, all 3D, with the original character voice actors (i'd buy it even without Bacon, Fonda, Hoskins, Cummins and Collins) and the original background artists.
But alas, Universal forgets Balto...
once again.

Maybe they haven't? It might be that they haven't found anything what could make Balto as a game...or then they have planed without reporting it but never done anything...possibilities are lot...

No, no and no. These are budget games, so they don't cost much to produce.
This has nothing to do with Universal there, they are not the ones who asked these developers to make games : it's the opposite.
The only problem is that they don't know about Balto personally, while they can probably remember about An american tail.
Don't tell me that Jumanji, Home Alone or Dr dolittle or other films like that are so popular nowadays...Yet they are making games out of them too.
It's always going in circles...

Well the name of the game is "Fievel goes west", so I suppose it's using the same storyline as the film...
There has already been 3 Fievel games released as far as I know (one in 1990 on PC, one in 1993 on Super nes, one another in 2001 on Game boy advance)
