(Okay, this is going to be the first of a series of rants I will have in the coming months.)

...War Topics. Now, most of you have either heard of them, or had the pleasure, if you could call it that, of being involved a war topic. I, myself, have, with a certain member on my Tribute to Balto movie topic from last year or so. (he shall remain nameless because he should know who he is. That, and I forgot his screenname ) Anyways, the main reason these start are because some idiot insults another member, and that idiot insults them, and sooner or later, we have members feeding the fire that was already pointless in its existance. Now your perfectly good topic has to be closed down because of a fight that you could have prevented by just ignoring the first idiot.

Or would that have helped at all?

Personally, I have a serious problem with anyone who has the balls to try and make a pointless statement without any physical evidence to back it up (like these morons have any to begin with.) Firstly, they show their stupidity by doing so, and secondly, they try and apologise for their "mistake" and pretend to be sincery. I say just ban these jerks. If they start a fight, and someone finishes it, the messages that led up to the fight should just be deleted and the member who started it should have their IP number banned perminently so they can't come baclk on and mess up someone else's legit topic of conversation.

So yeah, that's basically all I have to say about that.

Well, true, I hate war topics too, and I'm not ashamed to admit I've been in wars myself. But then again, some people just can't ignore others. Maybe they feel offended and just have to comment back, and so on and so forth.

I think that most members who make mean and hurtful comments do not fully understand what a forum is(a place to comment and be a constructive critic to others work. As for giant flame wars people fail to realize that they don't have to post right after a bash has been made if they took a second and responded peacfully there would be no war.

People aren't like the barbarians on Runescape; you don't set them off by just saying something. (If you play Runescape, you probably know what I mean.)

People have a choice. And they choose to continue with the mindless banter.

I get what your sayin'. I used to play runescape.I quit becouse they try to kill ANYTHING!! ( by anything i mean ME!)And they cheat non members and newbs.They find out to cuss on the game. Its plane barbaric.

Well, you have a good idea but, you also must give these people ONE chance to prove they can be respective and can hold their tongues when they have bad comments...

I'm being a bit rash, but that's the truth. Plain and simple.

Silver_Balto--> No, I don't think you're being rash at all. You are simply stating your opinion and wanting to know others' opinions. I agree with what you have to say, and here's my perspective.

People who start wars, are the sorts of people who have no self-respect, or respect for others. Now, I know some people's topics have turned into flame wars, simply because they had no business posting it in the first place. These people need to learn how to use self-control, and pour their rage out, in a manner that isn't harsh or mean, but simply the plain truth, or their opinion.
