Ok, are they or are they not allowed?

I've been seeing people on the boards with REALLY irritating avatars and siggys but they just seem to be getting away with them. I hate animated avatars because they are so distracting.

I thought it was against the rules..

I have to agree with both of you on this (yeh, I'm a neutral party!) Frankly, I could really care less if someone has an animated avatar/signature, but there is one small thing that I hate about them.


They make the loading times longer, and sometimes, I have a tight schedule to deal with. The last thing I want is to be waiting ten minutes just to load the main page of a forum, never mind any of the topics, just the main page.

They are not allowed. Unfortunately, us mods haven't always got the time to PM the members who have an animated avatar of sig, or sometimes we just don't notice them.

I make them but I tell them they can't use it on here.Some of them say okay and kindly do not use it here.

there is a logical explanation for everything.

I know..it gets so annoying when I'm looking at a topic and listening to music and the animated sigs/avatars make my music skip (I listen to music on the computer) and have to shut it off when somebody has an animated sig..

My sig never stays the same,and I don't even have to be told by PM to take it down,as for the avatar it will remain the same.

uhh..this is about animated sigs and avatars..not how much you change it..xD

and I know that members of the site try to tell the people to change it, but they say 'Your not a mod, don't tell me what to do'..so I guess it has to be a mod that tells them..xD

That is just pathetic that it has to get to that point sometimes. Some people haven't got enough common sense to just be courteous and remove the avay/sig. Shouldn't it be minimum trouble to just put a til version in instead?

I know, if they read the rules they wouldn't of had one anyway...what is Til version?

I, however, am "blessed" with a super slow piece of ****** computer that runs slower than a horse on two legs.

Hahaha I made that mistake once^^ once was enough lol. . . but is there away to deactivate them or not allow that type of image or file to be used on here?

Well,mine is NEVER an animated avatar or sig.
