I don't want to start a war.. or any kind of argument at that, I am just curious to your opinion...

Do you prefer Disney or Universal?

As much as I like Disney films, I always feel that they're giving a bad name to wolves. And most people know how much I hate that. In most of their movies wolves are bad even back when they did they're little 'Who's afraid of the big bad wolf' thing.. that brought a bad enough name.

Whereas Universal produced Balto which gives a very good name to wolves. So, if I had to choose between the two I'd go for Universal. Disney films are good but.. they do seem to have rather basic storylines. Do you agree?

Disney: a little too predictible in storylines, with the exception of Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Universal: Slightly better, but they tend to go too far with one franchise that seems popular, like what they did with LBT and as I've heard, the same with All Dogs Go to Heaven.

Hmmm toughie..... But since Disney created Pirates of the Caribbean I have to go with Disney. The only thing that bothers me is that Disney are killing off Will Turner in it.

ADGTH is not Universal but MGM (Sony now).
Go too far?...Err, that's all the opposite to me...Except for LBT, Disney has exploited nearly all their films in a much bigger way.

Oh yeah, let's ruin the third POTC movie for everyone! He wasn't killed off as far as I'm concerned and if you know something that we don't know about the upcoming movies, keep it to yourself.

I've got to say I like Disney. Even though Universal used to be one of my favourite studios, I hate the way that they just threw Balto into the open by itself like it was a leftover ice cream. Disney have made success with The Lion King, The Rescuers, The Jungle Book and Lilo and Stitch and they have never abandoned their films like Universal did! I hate the way that they are doing all these sequels though but that's beyond the point!

Oops sorry.

Both. Love them both! I love them both. Hey, what do you expect, they have their ups and downs. So hey, i consider them equal.

I agree wih Starsky and Wolf Luna. But I'd have to say Universal, as they did make a Wolf movie (Balto) that gave Wolves an actually good reputation. Disney, in my opinion, doesn't really care about their meaning after all of the 'big bad wolf' cartoons and content. But since Disney didn't abondon their movies, I'd also have to say they're equal.

Universal. I've never liked songs in movies which Disney cannot seem to do without (well, in the animated ones anyway....)

Ooh, I meant the animated Disney films. Disney Classics.

NOT Disney Pixar or the live action Disney films. Hence, I posted this in Animation/Cartoons.

If I were younger than I am now, I'd probably prefer Disney, but things have changed, and I prefer Universal much more than Disney now (my uncle would probably hate me for this  ; he used to work for Disney as an artist).
