Yes.

The zoo is awesome. Hopefully, I'll go to a zoo with wolves. ^^ there is a zoo that isn't too far away with red wolves.

Actually the animales are some times cared for better in the zoo than in the wild, in the zoo they get a warm bed, fed everyday places to hide when thay dont want to be in human sight
And dont put a downer on Luna's day, The zoo is very kool I have been to many zoo's myself and they are fantastic have a good time :)

The nature gave them the life for living free. Not that people can visit them in cages. Do you know a park where animals can visit caught people? :?

I like going to zoos only that have very large places for their animals. But most of the zoos I go to, the animals are very happy. ^^ I got to go to one over the summer and got a load of pictures. ^^ It's a lot of fun!

I don't go to zoos,I go to zoological parks, where animals can walk around behind a fenced in area, and have the the feeling of being in the wild.

Here we've also a Tierpark, this is a bigger zoo with bigger cages. (Tierpark=animalpark) Maybe you know what I mean o.O
But if I see the animals in this Tierpark they don't look happy. They ambles the whole day from the right to the left and their fur is bitten out of the other animals in the cage...

It's proven that animals live longer and breed more often in captivity then in the wild. But yah sometimes the animals do not get the space they need witch is sad, but most Zoos are good.

And not only are then animals given medicine for illness but they are guarentied not to be eaten by a predator or killed by a hunter. So it's really good for endangered species to be in zoos so they can help bring their population numbers up.

Of course. But what's better for a wild animal? Short life in the wilderness, free, or long life in sadness in captivity? :?

Why do we know if an animal feels good in the zoo?

Maybe it is going to become a new species.

We know they are happy the same way we know they are sad. In lamens terms if they act like they have no energy we have a problem but if they are doing whatever they do we guess they are happy.

And Evolution takes millions of years, not just a few. And anyway the animals are fed a diet their body needs.

What? Are you saying the people at zoos do not feed the animals?

No.

The animals become sad because they have to live their whole life in a small cage.

Plus, cage? I went to the zoo one time and I seen two lions in a BIG BIG "cage". It had huge rocks, alots of water, and more. I seen one of the lion on a rock, and it seemed pretty happy.
As all of the animals seemed pretty happy. It was a huge place, huge space for them, water, big rocks, and stuff to climb on and all kinds of stuff .. I love the Zoo.
