After seeing this topic: http://baltosource.timduru.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=9538, I wonder, What was BaltoSource like when they joined it? I know that something has changed in this forum. Something is askew. I can't name it, but still...

I contemplate leaving like the ones in the above mentioned topic. However, this place is a place where I feel loved. Home, well, my parents show me love, but I honestly don't feel it. I try to, but I can't. It gives me a reason to strive in school, for the wolves. Here, I am usually reminded of my childhood self. However, not so much the forums anymore. Those reminders are now more from the fan art and the music videos, than here on the forums. I understand that people mature, but sometimes I feel that the childhood creativity in the RPs are on a decline. Titles of them seldom have anything to do with the actual events in them, for example.

I still wonder, many of those that have left are those that I have known well, like Maya and Suka, they were the ones I knew the best out of those three, but what of those that I do know well that haven't left?

There's a bit of a lump in my throat as I write this.

When I first came here we didn't have to log in or anything..I was one of the first members here when there was only 3 fanartists..one of them was JennaWolf..I didnt join the forums until way later when DreamingWolf told me they were fun...and I dont even know how to explain it but it was so much more fun, you wouldnt get ignored, there were not many rules, hardly anyone broke the rules either...with the mods, you would get 3 chances before getting banned and they were nice to everybody..nobody discluded anyone in anything.............the list goes on..it was just way more fun...

hey lol that reminds me of this too..I left before for about a month or 2 but its like I had to come back..o.0 it's so addicting here..

I can not help but express myself right now. I will not be saying more than this. So, yeah... I just pitty those who dont know the good days.

When I first came here, it was very simple. It was about the time when the forums had just opened... But I never got into them until about half a year ago... I just never really saw the point for awhile.

But I mostly spent time in the Roleplay... I was very new, and very stupid back then... But I learned quickly. Back then, I was known as just "Aleu"... then to "Aleu-AABF".

My name changed as my charries did. I did have alot of charries back then. And mates were aloud in the roleplay. It was amazing. XP Pfff. It was just so much simpler back then...

Then things just began going wrong... And I dont know what else I should say...

Just, the site is on a downhill slope... but only going down slowly..

Thats how it is. I miss you Swords....

When I joined a year ago There were less than 300 members. The only way you could change your username was asking steet to do it for you. Now look at it... over 1000 members we can change our names as we please. The site has grown, it has grown in many ways. Not only the site itself but the people in it.

When I first joined the site was free from wars, and fights, and there was no profnaity. The Mod's Grey Kitty (Loz), Nick(Dingo), and the others were always cheerfull. As I checked the history of the site it has been up and running for almost 2 years. But in those 2 years this site has changed from a wonderful cheerfull sacntuary were i could come home and just sit here on my computer and chat with my friends about anything, now look at it! It is a scared battlefield with fights I am sad to say that I took part of, but now as I look back every single war, every single fight has tourn Balto Source apart. There is a way to unify it once more, but the only way to bring happyness and joy is to forget about everyone's differences and share each other's interest! With that a lone we can restore a lot of what Balto Source once was. A big, fluffy sacutuary for every kid, teen, and adult could just lie down and relax. This transformation will not happen over night it will take many months but considering how many people we have on this wonderful site it is something that we can do.

I say my plea for everyone though out Balto Source let us unite under one banner and restore this wonderful thing of a site I call my sactuary!

As do I miss you, Maya. ...My eyes begin to water. I can barely see the screen... The days when things were simple... I wish I knew those days. These days, few things seem simple. I truly feel like I'm cared about, but at the same time, I feel I must leave...

I guess important things aren't ever simple, are they?

Argetlam, I agree with you. There are things of this site that have changed because of differences that weren't settled. I won't name anything, but somehow... maybe a forum having 2,000 + members does things... I also agree that this can change. We just need everyone to cooperate. This place can be restored to the glory of which I knew little of, but this place can be once again the sanctuary of those that need one.

It just tears me to shreds that my friends that I knew here are leaving this site because of battles. Suka, not only does he live here in Arizona with Rusty and me but we did many things, we played each other though WI-FI, made jokes and many other things. Kari, I will never forget her she always made me laugh and I just cracked my head off every time Suka and Kari would go at each other it always made me laugh. Maya she always gave us facts. She is an excellent artist and a great friend. I had hoped that this was just a joke and up to this present moment I wish that it is.

Even though Kari will still be on some of the time it just won't be the same. I am going to miss all three of them. I hope that they come back once the site is once again a sacutuary instead of a battlefield.

Yeah ir may be time to move on....

yea lol I remember you getting into a fight with Angelfire because her name was Aleu first..xD that was funny..I wish Wolfbane or whatever his name was would come back..I think mates were a fun idea until people took it for granted and started doing..gross things on the roleplay box....

Well, that may just be me, but I don't feel the site has changed that much. More members, sure, and that lead to some wars, but it remains the same.
Members leaving? Well, considering the age of the site, it seems normal, everyone can not be interested in something for years. You seem to think that members leaving means that "the site is going downhill", but that's not the case, and the site statistics show it : there are more and more visitors progressively.

To me, what has changed is that there isn't a Balto 3 coming out...or anything to expect and talk about. So people try talking about other matters and that's how they get angry because they don't have the same opinions.

And that's why they don't get along with each other,because they fail to see eye to eye.

The site hasn't changed (apart from obvious psyhical features), it's peoples atitchudes and how they treat each other that's changed. And mainly because no one agrees with each other and do not accept others opinions but themselves and always think their right, when their not.
When you are all saying 'the site used to be better in the past' (which I kinda agree with) it's all because now it's a much bigger community so of course their is going to be more fighting.. but too bad people never know when to quit.
If you really cared about friends here, the site and especially Balto then you wouldn't use this excuse to leave for good, you would stay and that doesnt mean you have to be on 24/7.
And especially for you mods leaving..you took on the job, it isn't easy, and neithers life.
