Hi. I just have to ask everyone something. Well, I've been having dreams about my cats dieing which has been leaving me depressed and I get so sad and upset and like I have no reason to carry on in life.... but luckily, they won't join StarClan for a wile. *phew* But alot of my friends have lost there pets and they are just like "my cat died" or "my dog died" or "my rabbit died" or something like that, then they go on like nothing ever happened! I cry just thinking about my pets dieing! even my hamster! Is enyone else like that? becasue it would ruin mt whole life if enything ever happened to Andy or Randy (my cats) Is enyone esle like that? PLease respond

There are about 6 billion people in the world.
I'm sure atleast one person would feel the same way.

But yes, if my dog ever died, I would definitely cry for him.

Ya I know, but I'm just the only one who I know so far who would take losing a pet so seriously, becasue none of my friends are like that.

I guess it's the normal reaction to cry for a dead friend, even more if one sees a friend dying, which is quite often the case with our animal companions.

The odd part is, and I myself almost hate me for it, I didn't ever experience that feeling with people that were close to me. I've already lost 3 close human friends, one due to a heart attack and the others through accidents - but I didn't ever really worry about it. To me it is like they're on a journey, and would return after some time to say "Hello, I'm back!". Maybe it's just my active lifestyle, my occupation and problems that keep me forgetting about such a loss.

But, however, the loss of an animal friend counts much more for me - as I really spend a lot of time with them. I had a few of them dying in my own arms and hands... giving me the hope that they didn't feel too alone when they had to pass away.

Heh, a budgie I once had even got something like a hymn: in his last minutes, where I (again) was holding him in my own hands, there was the song "I Swear" of "All-4-One" playing in the radio. Now, whenever that song plays, I've to think of "Sämi" (which was the budgies name). So, Sämi - this is for you:

Quote:
I swear by the moon and the stars in the sky
and I swear like the shadow that's by your side

I see the questions in your eyes
I know what's weighing on your mind
You can be sure I know my part
Cause I stand beside you through the years
You'll only cry those happy tears
And though I make mistakes
I'll never break your heart

Chorus
And I swear by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there
I swear like the shadow that's by your side I'll be there
For better or worse
Till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear

I'll give you every thing I can
I'll build your dreams with these two hands
We'll hang some memories on the wall
And when (and when) just the two of us are there
You won't have to ask if I still care
Cause as the time turns the page
My love won't age at all

And I swear (I swear) by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there (I'll be there)
I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side
I'll be there (I'll be there)

For better or worse
Till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear

And I swear (I swear) by the moon
And the stars in the sky I'll be there (I'll be there)
I swear (and I swear) like the shadow that's by your side
I'll be there (I'll be there)

For better or worse (better or worse)
Till death do us part I'll love you
With every single beat of my heart

Here is some advice, there is no reason to worry about something that's going to happen in the future, it can't be controlled. In this case a pet dieing, its hard thing to go through but just cherish the moments you have. Its been three years since I lost my dog and there's not a day I don't miss him, but its just life, we all live and die. :(
Funny thing is, my cat has out lived every pet I've ever had, she's going on 14 now.
