To me Star looks different from the other dogs because of his face expresion. What do you think?

Yeah, he's supposed to look abnormal to make him a hysterical character. Personally, I'd prefer for him to look normal as well.

No offense to the writer, but these inane questions about the "real" or "unreal" quality of characters IN A CARTOON are really irritating! Sheesh!

Yes I agree with Starsky..he has to look a little unreal,like "fictional",because you never saw sled dogs with big eyes and so small sized.
Well looking "normal" wouldn't have that spirit of humor like as it is,I guess you'd like him more real to make the movie be more..."based on true story",if you get what I say

I wonder why none of those dogs in the Balto movie can't be real? Probably cuz they're a cartoon

By 'real' I don't think she meant real as in life-like but perhaps showing more of the form of a dog. I mean, Balto looks more like a dog than Star. Just my opinion..

The reason he does is because Star's looks were more exaggerated than Balto's.

Well, there are different levels of cartoons...Here Star is more "cartoonish" than the other dogs, for sure.
