I just read an article on Wikipedia about the movie, and it said that it will be made into a video game for all systems! (except for Macs) It hasn't been released yet, and there aren't any screenshots that I can find, but the article about the game says that they let the author of the book, Christopher Paolini, play it already.

What do you all think about the game? I think it might be a lot like the Lord of the Rings games, but what about the rest of you?

Nope it's offical It's coming out November 13 or 15. I have an article in my GI magazine plus an e-mail from Eragon.com saying that the author Chister P did in fact play a demo of the game. Also I have seen some screen shots and it looks really good but I haven't seen any for Sahira. Also The movie's offical Realse date is December 15 I watched the trailer and it was really good!

I've seen the trailer of the game, and it doesn't really look good to me. The graphics look like The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe game...and that wasn't very good...But it might be better...I don't know...

By all systems, does it include Gamecube?

I think so but I'm not Sure but I do now that there coming out for next gen consoles

Hhmm, I liked the book, but I'm not getting the PC game. It sounds very interesting, but meh. . . I'll live with the Sims 2, lol.

Yea, the games looks very much like the lord of the ring games. But those games were good too so, no complaints. I only saw a video of Eragon fighting trolls or something. If it comes out on Gamecube im deffinatly getting it. But, nevermind that. By time it comes out i'll have a PS2. Can't be sure i'll have a PS3. I've heard it's going to cost around $600 dollars. The Xbox 360 was priced at $400. So, yea, the PS3 must be pretty good. I bet the games are going to cost alot too. Right now though, i'll settle for a PS2 without a complaint. (It'd be better than this Gamecube. At the store they've got like one entire Isle for just PS2 games. Then they've got just half a shelf of Gamecube games.)
Anyway, whatever i have at the time, if the game comes out on it, i'll try and get it. If it's just like the lord of the rings games, it'd be better to just rent it. You can beat the entire Lord of the Rings: The two towers in around 4-5 hours. Maybe not even that long. But i hope there's more to the game than that though. Since i havn't seen but maybe 30 seconds of gameplay, im not going to make any assumptions on how much the game includes.
But if i had the game made the way i'd want it, i'd include almost all of it. Of course i'd take out some minor scenes. You'll aways have to cut some things out when you're making a movie or game based on a book.
Hah, i can even think of a way to make a level out of that very first part of the book where Eragon tries to hunt the deer. Those scenes where Eragon's in the marketplace, they could be set up so you could travel and look around the city. Just have a map marked where you had to go. Like, meet up with your grandpa by. . . Replace the three dots with the name of a location. Instead of just videos of those events, the game could have it set up where you walk to the places you need to go. Basically, RPG style.

I'd also like to see a bonus feature where you can create your own character and train to become a dragon rider. Rpg style! But, of course, i expect none of this to really be in the game. It'd be nice if it was, but i can't help but doubt it.
