Hi all,
I look at some of the Balto Art pretty good and out of everything, one thing bothers me a bit.
Some leave no captions or 4 words to describe their work.
Im not really talking about little 5 minute doodles but artwork that took 1 to 10 hrs plus. I see some really amazing work but nothing to describe it or why the person was influenced enough to spend a good deal of time creating it.
In the art of photography, the stuff that gets into magazines or beats the competition is the shots that have a very well writen comment. (Of corse a eye popping photo is the 1st step) Most of the times, putting the reader right next to the photographer right when it was taken.
I dont see that with a good deal of the artwork here. With my own stuff, on some of the drawings, I try to condense what I want to say and why I drew what I did.
I spend 2-8 hours on one shot, I want to give every detail I can about it and possibly what inspired me.
Anyone else out there feel that way?
