I don't have a cat so I voted no. I love cats, no matter what colour they are. I wish I had a cat or dog tough. I can't own one since my mom is allergic. But I don't think black cats bring bad luck. You can step on a cat with any colour and then get scratched by it (that happened to me once)

I have a black cat named Taboo. I found her under a house when she was 5 weeks old. She's going on 3 now, and I have trained her like a dog. She knows how to come, sit, sit up and we're working on down, paw and stay. She obeys all of these commands...in Spanish^^

I've always loved black cats, but I also have a pure white one, a pure grey one, a black and white one and a tabby. They're all cats, despite their colors; and none of them bring any luck at all. Good, Bad or otherwise.

It's simple human stupidity to blame their own mistakes on something else . The black cat is just one of man's many scapegoats.

I have two houses, one cat at my dad's, two cats at my mum's. And the only reason I'm unlucky is my thickness xD

Yeah, I agree. That's like saying a black person is bad luck because their black This whole "Black Cat = Bad Luck" thing is actually racist towards cats. I don't care if that sounds stupid, I love cats deeply, and care very much about how they are treated

At my dad's we have a cat called Gypsey (I thought of the name, hee-hee! ) he is cute, but grumpy, annoying, and he likes to attack me

At my mum's, both me and my little sister own cats
They are both twin brothers, black, ADORABLE and they have wonderful personalities!

My one is called Muffin, my sister's is called Bramble

Sadly I have no pets only stuffed animals to keep me company.Luckily my mom and das friends have 2 cats and 2 dogs.They also have a neighbour that has 3 horses.No I don't think black cats bring bad luck or are witches pets.I personally like all cats(except the balding ones )

I've had 2 black cats so far:

Blackie (hey, I was still a kid, I had a simple mind!)
and Panther. I loved them both. ^^ They were outside cats, though, so I'm sure someone took them in. Which is fine as long as they are being taken care of. Otherwise whoever took them will be in big big trouble.

But I love all kinds of cats. ^^

Well, cats ingeneral have been mistreated. Yes, black cats have a "reputation" of being bad but its only because they look like they would play the part with their beautiful yellow eyes and what not.

Back to the mistreating(sp?) part. Have you ever wondered why humans are mainly mean to cats? And dogs are "mans best friend" Well my friend I think I may have a reason for that. Humans like things they can somewhat "control" and guess what? We can control dogs and horses(most of the time) but we cant control cats and that down right ticks people off. People are VERY overbaring creaturs on this planet and if there is something that we cant control then we either(usualy) kill it or hurt it in some way wich links up to hurting cats.

I used to have a black cat, and I never got any bad luck. I think that's just a myth. Blame Hollywood for this.
With all the witch movies out, black cats got framed for being bad luck. I think it's unfair to judge a cat by the color of its fur. It's almost like judging a person by the color of their skin.

Yes, I do have a black cat. I adore black cats very much. We got him recently because my cat Shushy passed away from heart falure *sigh* he was only seven. Well, back to topic. His name is Salem, after the cat in Sabrina the teenage witch, he has a whit bib, white belly, and white feet all the rest of him is black. After all I DO think black cats have a reputation they don't desurve. I adore black cats and honestly, picture your sweet little grey demestic short hair with black fur. Thats all they are.
