For those who are not lead astary by anthropomorphism (Things or animals reselmbling, thinking, or being like a human.), in the case of balto, the personallities, you might understand this. I find the interactions between the three species to quite reasonable.
wolfdogs:
Balto: Shy and shunned, probley because he was not "socailzed", being into a un familarsituation.
Aleu- I think the same thing as balto expect she is in the alaksan wild in the end, the reverse of balto (Growing from a dog to a full wolf)
Dogs (Jenna, katlag, dusty ect.)- They seem to be fine with other dogs, and humans. Problem is, I don't think they are the type that would surivie in the wild
Wolves- Seem to act pack life, but WQ is heavily shurrouded by that Mystcism.
Think about it, how would a Wolf dog/dog interact, or a wolf/ wolf dog.
I restae my point, does the movie seem to rely on anthropomorphism? or is relastic on animal interactions?
JUst a thought

I believe what you're talking about is personification. "Anthropomorphism" is when something has physical human qualities (like physical form and whatnot) What they did in the movie (like many movies) is just merely give the animal a voice. (And more than likely how the animals reacted to each other in Balto 1 is how they'd act in real life, especially when they don't grow up in a rather "hateful" and "agressive" environment.)

Well, I suppose this is to simplify it for children. They'd probably find characters such as Boris more entertaining to watch waving his wings around then to be simply walking around like a normal goose.
