Umm in my oppinion Commmunism is well known as good days....but you couldn't go out of the country, but Democratic is good,is the one is at present. But isn't shinny either. But it's better then to be locked in country and doing nothing as we can today,oh yeah if you'd been insulting the president you'd been brought in jail,in communism ..Ugh no more communism story..Here it ended in 1989 after a dangerous Revolution,I wasn't on Earth on those days XD(1991 I as borned..duh)That's all what I heared.
Ugh I think this Topic may cause wars.....

Unfortunately, no matter the form of government, it is human nature to take advantage of it and corrupt it (and some of the choices you gave really have little chance of being run benevolently).
In our species, it is the nature of the beast to be selfish and take care of onesself over the greater good. That is the source of all corruption everywhere, no matter what country, and no matter what form of government. Even a theocracy (government by religious body) would also be prone to corruption - because of human nature.
Still, every government has experienced its highs and lows. And despite the opinions of political and social factions in modern times, I believe that - in my own country - we've had some nice highs (and some miserable lows...like right now). When I was a teenager, in the 80s, Ronald Reagan was president...and no matter what little people can say about him (or his administration) that was bad, he ranks right up there with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt as one of our greatest presidents (and, as I recall, the 80s were about a MILLION TIMES more enjoyable to live in than today...at least in the U.S. - and Americans were much more well-thought of...except in the Middle East. But then, with the kind of religious fundamentalism going on there, which twists the foundations of that religion to serve violence and hatred, that's probably NEVER going to change. Religious fundamentalists there seem far more accomplished at hate doctrine than any other body on the entire planet. And they, too, have put a stranglehold on their governments. So it comes right back around to my original point).

The Republic is not a form of Government. For example Romania is a Democratic Republic which means that Romania has a president and all the other people that are in the Government are chosen by the people. In my opinion Democracy is the best but I'm not going to go any further into the subject. Like Deni said, it's not a nice topic to discuss and what happened here in 1989 should be left in the past. I'm talking in particular now....Furthermore this subject is a bit touchy and it's likely it's going to start a debate, a bad one...

Actually, a "republic" is defined as a form of government. Even ancient Rome had a republic for a while. But it is in the dictionary.
I don't understand why some of you would feel discussing forms of government would start a war. Discussing modern POLITICS might. But a discussion about forms of government should not.

I dunno, so far I've only lived in a democracy, so it's hard to vote on this for me.

UH oh! Now I think we might end up seeing this thread get ugly. LOL. Any mention of Hitler or Stalin is likely to evoke feelings of racial and national misery. Racial for the Jews with regard to Hitler...and national with regard to the Germans (again, because of Hitler, because they've had to live with the stigma of what he did to their nation), and eastern Europe and Russia because of the kind of butcher Stalin was.

Yep. Here goes the decline of the topic. Sheesh.
I dislike Bush too (and I'm a conservative registered as a Republican)...a LOT. But what you posted is ridiculous, and baseless. It's not even worthy of refutation.

I choose Shaman, it is like the Indian governments. They have a spiritual leader....They do not corrupt because they are at one with nature.

You posted those statements as facts...and that article you linked implies the things it says to be FACTS. Regardless of how BAD Bush is as a president, mudslinging is inane, it is childish, and it is beneath contempt.
(Indeed, Silver Deni was right. And now I'm stepping out before it gets any worse. )
