Wow, I just listened to it for the first time since I was 7 last night, and that was a major letdown. It didn't really have an inspiring sound to it at all. I think it would have been a lot better if someone like Billy Joel sang it with a tune similar to "piano man", but you know, not the same tune. Maybe in the chorus they couldn't separate "Reach for the light" and "you might touch the sky", for example.

I love the song! I don't like the siger though...

Billy Joel would be awesome! Like, when he sang for Dodger in Oliver and Company...he's so cool!!!

I love the lyrics and music, just not the singer

Yeah, it has some good lyrics but I'd say its the singer that's a major letdown. He sounds so.. well, like he isn't 'feeling the power'. If you get what I mean..

Yeah, If anyone really feels power in songs, it's Billy Joel. Just listen to "Piano Man" and you'll know how he feels it.

I did'nt like the singer much either but the sing itself was fantastic, I dunno if it's Billy Joe from Green-day you're talking about but if it is I'd say he would'nt be a good singer for it.

You don't know Billy Joel? Maybe you've heard him sing "Piano Man". Here are some of the lyrics:

Sing us a song!
You're the Piano man!

Sing us a song tonight.

'Cause we're all in the mood for a melody,
and you've got us feeling all right!

You haven't heard "Piano Man?" Well, Billy Joel is an amazing soloist. Try going to launch.com and search Piano Man, and listen to the sample of it. You'll never forget his voice once you've heard that.

eyebrow.gif Well, I've already stated my opinion about that singer in my first post. I'm tempted to say that I disagree with that, but read my first post and you'll see that I do.

Uh, no offense to you or your opinions or anything, but I think Gospel sounds a lot more passionate than the way Steve what's his name sang it. It sounded good for a song to be played in the credits of a movie, since nobody really listens to those when they come out of a movie theatre (Unless you're in a drive-in and you have to tune your radio to a station to hear the movie.) I think personally that just one solo singer would have been the best for that song. You probably know who I'm thinking of...

I love this song, and I really don't see anything bad about this singer. But that may be because I'm not english.
There's also the dutch version, have you ever heard it?
