I didn't really want to give this away, but...
I'm writing a fic that is a Balto/Lion King/World Trade Center crossover that I came up with when I saw the movie a few weeks ago. When I started writing though, I started to think that some people would get a bit 'touchy' about the whole 9/11 subject and get angry about it.
I just want your opinion; should I keep going and risk it, or should I stop before I'm drowned in hate mail?

Its ultimatly your decision on whether or not to write it, if you want to go for it i'll probobly read and if your worried about people being touchy about 9/11 just put a warning on the fic so that people know about that part and those who dont want to read it wont

I think you should. You'd just have to make sure to put a warning so people who are REALLY touchy on the subject don't read it.

I really don't see how Balto and Lion King can possibly mix with 9/11 (i really don't find it "appropriate" either) But do whatever you want. I won't read it, but put a bigass warning, you'll probably still get flames, but at least they can't say you didn't warn them.

Cat, the way I was going to cross the three was by making Balto and Simba characters in the 9/11 situation. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Balto or Lion King movies other than that. (Jeez, I'm giving more away than I thought I would).
Also, I completely understand if you wouldn't want to read this. It's your decision, and I won't do anything to change that.

Cat I can see what you mean, 9/11 was an incredibly sad and horrible day, but doesn't everything have a first ?

Actually this kind of "crossover" between Balto and 9/11 or Lion King and 9/11 has been done before. Probably many times, but I dont know. All I know is that it has been done before. Maybe not through fanfictions, but through other fan sources.

I could care less if someone has already made one. What if a new person comes along and sees my fic before anyone else's? Then it really wouldn't matter. If someone has seen one before, then they don't have to read it.
I just want to enjoy what I want to do here, and that's to write...and maybe get a few applauds here and there, and I don't care who does the applauding.

Well, I have to say that this won't come out until AFTER the anniversary, which was when I hoped to send it in. School is really holding me back, but I'll work on it when I can.
