Who here plays those type of games? If you do, which do you play?

Hm the first mmorpg i played was Ultima Online, than Runescape, Everquest (got my account banned 4 years ago) , Eternal Lands, Kingdom of loathing, MUDS (Angbang and the antique swords & sorcerors) Nation States etc.
I played a lot of mmorpgs and their cousins (MUDs - Multi User Dungeon) but i preffer the free ones instead of the p2p ones (pay to play) .

I never play online games. I never play on my PC and I only have a gamecube. In fact I already tried one or two free MMORPG, and I didn't like them. It's way too much time consuming and repetitive. And I don't like having a real objective with a real story.
Yes, I regret the good old adventure games...
One sure thing : I will NEVER pay for playing online. I find that the games are already way too much expensive like that. And I believe most people think the same : not even 10% of the owners of xbox do have the xbox live...And yet they always show this as a strong point

I'm not much into those games, I only play shooters like MoH or Halo and such.

What they're talking about is if you like those large online Role Playing games like Runscape, everquest, Diablo and such.

I don't play MMORPG because I would be soon obsesed by it! I'm love multiplayer game with friends but MMORPG would turn my life to shreds. And one more, I hate RPG, I'm into Rts or FPS=>Flashpoint!

If you say that there isnt much to a MMORPG that means you never played one.

MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

I've fooled around in EverQuest, but didn't get very far. Didn't have the patience or time to commit to get to the point where the game was any fun.

That's probably what shdrex is talking about. Once you get to a certain level then you don't feel so overwhelmed. That's my guess, anyway.

Usualy you are at the beggining weak defenceless, tasty (every monster loves you) you get better within time while in FPS games i am very bored, what's the pleasure of kiling the new ones while i just keep kiving them headshots (at CS in 2001 i was called a cheater for giving headshots like crazy but after 1 week of playing with me they noticed i do the same in every game)
The point is that in FPS you played one you played them all (exceptions: Call of Duty, Jedi Knight series and Deus Ex) while if you played like me Ultima Online or at least the free game Conquest Online you should understand.

the only FPS i play is Unreal Tournament: GotY/2k4

RPG's are not all that bad, and the are not as addictive as most people think, at least not for me, i still take time out to be with real life friends... and my job
