Been skiing up at Smuggler's Notch, near the Canadian border, and also did a two-day, thirteen-mile "campaign march" (including overnight camping) as a Civil War living historian, with others of like mind, through the Pawlett area near Lake Champlain (did that two years in a row). Beautiful state! There's nothing like seeing the maples tapped for the stuff that gets made into syrup!

Ironic you said that. The VonTrapp family from the movie Sound of Music (yes, it's based off a true story) chose that area when they moved to America for that exact same reason!

Oh yeah - Vermont has some beautiful scenery! Majestic mountains, tracks of forest, farmland, quaint mountain villages. It's nice! I mean, that's speaking for what I've seen in my handful of visits to the state! Of course, half the people in the state speak like the old Pepperidge Farm guy from their commercials ("Pepperidge Faaahm remembahs!")...
If you have a Cracker Barrel in your area, you can get a little taste of Vermont too...they sell Vermont maple candy (which you can also purchase in many places in the state). MMMM!!! Awesome stuff!

Haha, I can imagine. So, from the photos I've seen - I really enjoy to visit Vermont too.
