I know, this may seem nuts. But it's just my opionon kay? To the point. Do you think Tom and Jerry seems like it has animal abuse? I mean...in an epispode Tom got part of his tail chopped off, and was shot in the nose. I know...just a cartoon. That's what I bet quite a few will say. But even with Tweety and Sylvester, that doesn't happen. So, put your opionon on it here.
To Mods: Since this is about animals, please don't move it to animations.

Uh, I'm probably one of those people that will say, it's just a cartoon. It was made out of good fun, and I doubt their intentions when they were making it, were implying animal abuse is okay. It certainly isn't but really, it's just regular cartoon violence and it's pretty entertaining if you have nothing else to do. It's my 4 year old little brother's favorite show.

Cool someone who agrees with me. Hey, Lightning your opinon. I wonder if this topic will ever get hot. Anyways, I heard they're making a new movie. I was watching it this morning and thinking Gosh...why do cats always have to be painted as evil and getting abused? I was up at 5 in the morning. there was nothing else on.

My opinion:

When they show humans being abusive to the animals, then I agree with you. But because the animals are abusing each other, it's no big deal.

Ex: Mammy Two-Shoes beating Tom unmercifully with a broom is abuse.

Jerry smashing Tom's face in with an iron is good ol' fashioned family violence.

I know this is off topic, but Tom and Jerry also had to be edited for TV nowadays due to constant racism. There's even been some episodes that have never been shown because of racism and 'other things.'

i think tom and Jerry is old and funny but what about bugs bunny and elmer FUD they hunt each other

Well frist off for me, 1 it's a cartoon, 2. define "animal abuse" and you think of a person doing it, not a animal.

It really just shows that brains beat brawn.
