Come on! I'm 15 and I know that most of you guys are at least that old! What could possibly be immature about a 15 year old guy like me liking Balto and woves in general?
I'd be pissed also. It's kinda wierd...you'd think your parents, of all people, would understand...

I'd be so annoyed if my dad ever said anything like that to me, my mum understands me really and is really supportive but not my dad, I know there are adults on here who love Balto just as much as us teens and kids and besides what is so bad about loving wolves (amazing animals) and a fantastic animated movie based on a true story of heroic dogs?
One sentence> Balto and wolves rule!

I got so sick of my parents involvment in my personal weblife that I have gotten into the habbit of logging off whenever I leave my computer, even for things that take less than 30 seconds. They are oblivious to what I do on the web, and that is how it will stay.

You're parents have lost the magic of what it means to be a kid, unfortunately. Even to be a teenager. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with what interests you (though, if you're one of those into the whole "furry" thing, I must admit to a certain flesh-crawling reaction about that myself...though I've learned that some people are into it just for dress up...not for sick, pornographic anthropomorphic, homoerotic art; still, it seems a bit nerdy to me...kind of like people who play dress up for Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings conventions, or live-action fantasy role-playing).
Lots of adults go through that phase. And others retain something, some piece of the magic of youth (still others go to extremes, and end up with a mid-life crisis ). If you ask me, any adult who loses touch with what it means to be a kid, or a teen, has died inside. All that's left is an aging miser. And that's no good.
It's worse when parents cannot understand or support their kids in what they enjoy (so long as it isn't destructive). Seems to me that, with what little you pointed out about what you're into, that hardly is destructive. Heck, it could lead to a career working with animals in some fashion or another...be it social or scientific.

Wow, even though your parents think you're immature, they're actually the immature ones. My two brothers(one is seven and the other is 10. The 10-year old was adopted recently) really hate the stuff I do on the internet, as they despise Balto, wish they were smart enough to troll around on the Wolf project to make it shut down, really don't like my art, and worst of all, they hate wolves and want them extinct. But what they do is even more irritating. Every time I have something open that has to do with wolves, Balto, or the Wolf movie project, is close it when I'm not around and bring up some anti-Balto or anti-Wolfmovie page or a Kill-the-Wolves online petition or something like that. Even worse, whenever my parents get involved in this, they stick up for my brothers and claim that we have "different passions" and since we have to share a computer, some of the stuff that they "enjoy" might be there and I have to deal with it. Jeez, just talking about this makes me mad at them.
