You know, that's not such a bad idea. Here we go!
PART I: The time machine
[Random clocks all over]
[A newspaper reads "Star's mansion destroyed!"]
[A TV Flicks on]
NEWSCASTER: In other news, scientists at Pacific Nuclear Research Facility have denied the rumor of missing plutonium being stolen from their vault two weeks ago.
[A robot arm opens, empties and tosses a can of dog food, The door opens]
KODI: Hey, Doc? Doc? Hello, anybody home? Einstien, come here, boy. [Whistles] What's goin' on-- Oh, Jeez! Ah, disgusting. [Rolls his skateboard to a table. The box underneath says: Plutonium Handle With Care]
[Kodi flicks a number of switches, plugs his guitar in.]
[Stands in front of a massive speaker, gets flung backwards.]
KODI: Rock n' roll.
[The phone rings]
KODI: Hello?
STAR: Kodi. that you?
[All the clocks go off]
STAR: Are those my clocks?
KODI: Yeah, it's 8:00.
STAR: It worked! My experiment worked! They're all exactly 25 minutes slow!
KODI: WHAT?!? I'm late!
[Grabs a skateboard and runs out the door]
DUSTY: Come on, Kirby's gonna FREAK!
KODI: You think?
[Dusty and Kodi ran down the alley.]
DUSTY: Whew! We made it.
KODI: [Puts his arm around Dusty.] It wasn't my fault. Doc set all his clocks 25 minutes late.
DUSTY: All of them?
KODI: Every single one.
DUSTY: Jeez!
[A few hours later]
[Kodi is asleep on his bed. The phone rings]
KODI: Hello?
STAR: Kodi, you didn't fall asleep did you?
KODI: No, no.
STAR: Then get down here!
KODI: OK,OK, I'm comin'!
[Kodi arrives, there is a van in the parking lot.]
[The door opens, a DeLorean rolls out]
STAR: Kodi!
KODI: Hey, Doc!
STAR: This is my latest experiment, the one I've been waiting for my whole life!
KODI: It's a DeLorean.
STAR: Not just a DeLorean. It's a time machine.
KODI: Say what?
STAR: Come here, I'll show you how it works.
[Both run into the car]
STAR: First, you turn the time circuits on.
[Flips a switch, a readout appears.]
STAR: This one tells you where you're going, this one tells you where you ARE, this one tells you where you were. You insert the destination on this keypad. Say, you wanted to see the signing of the Decleration of Independence. [Pushes a few buttons] Or have a ringside seat for the Alamo.[Pushes a few buttons]
KODI: You're saying I can go anywhen I want?
STAR: Any time!
KODI: OK, let's try this. January 4, 1925. [Pushes a few buttons, the date appears on screen.]
STAR: So odd you would choose that date.
KODI: Why?
STAR: That was three days before your father brought back the antitoxin.
KODI: Oh, yeah! I would kill to see that!
STAR: Why not? Let's go!
[Kodi starts the car. Doc sits down next to him]
STAR: If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious stuff.
KODI: OK, one question. Does this thing run on regular unleaded gas?
STAR: No, unfourtunately it requires something with a little more kick. Plutonium.
KODI: Doc, wait. Are you tellin' me this sucker is NUCLEAR?!?
STAR: No, no, this sucker's electrical. But I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 giggowatts of electricity I need.
KODI: Did you rip that off?
STAR: Yes, from a group of Coyote nationalists. They wanted me to build them a bomb. So, I took the plutonium and filled the bombshell with used pinball machine parts!
KODI: Right.
[Einstein barks]
STAR: What is it, Einie?
[A van drives in]
STAR: Oh, no. They found me. I don't know how, but they found me.
KODI: Who?
STAR: COYOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Kodi drives off, the coyotes begin shooting]
KODI: OK, let's see if you boneheads can do 90.
[The car throttles forward, the readout still says January 4, 1925.]
STAR: Kodi!
[The car lights up in sparks and vanishes, leaving a pair of fire trails behind]
