When the World Cup happened, I got thinking, "Mabye there should be a Sports forum here." I mean, come on, you all have to like at least one sport, even if you just like watching it, that would still count.

Just an idea, like I said.

A sports area might be a good idea,but for now sport topics are posted in the Others section.

It could have potential as a section but it would depend on how people would post in it coz i don't like traditional sports much, only extreme sports, but then again not many people like those either, it could've just been that football fever everyine catches around world cup time but I dunno so...yeah...I'll shut up now...

This doesn't sound like a bad idea actually. I don't think many people who really use it, but I think it's worth a try.

I dont think it would be a good idea, not to many people would use it. Anyway we could make better use of the space it would take up.

Well I don't know, I fear that sports topics would turn into flaming wars. I know sports discussion can be as worse as political ones.

Hmm, given how harshly violent sports fans can be, such as fans of Manchester United soccer (or as Steet and other Europeans call it, football), can be, I would agree with that. Especially where I live, with that huge rivalry between my city and this other city (I don't want to get too specific about where I live), some fans have almost broken out into fights after this baseball game between the two rival cities. (The police stopped them). On the internet, these things would become flame wars since physical violence isn't possible through the internet.

Yah I've heard about how Britin is really bad at fighting at Football games. So like most people have said it would be asking for a war.

We are terrible over here about fighting over sports, < to the UK, this country is football mad and it's silly!

I know. From the videos of fans at Manchester United, wow those guys were either drunk or they were just plain crazy.

The way I see it, it would only be senseable to create a sports forum if a) there were a large number of topics created about sports in the others forum or b) enough people post on this topic asking for a sports board to be created. If either of those things happened then I think it would be reasonable to create a sports forum, but enless those things happen, I don't think a sports forum would get enough use for us to create one.

I dont think it would be a good Idea different countrys have different names for the same sport it would be to confusing.
