They have a really cool macromedia flash thingy which got me to thinking... maybe something like that would be helpful here?

Yeah. I've been noticing a lot of repeat topics and useless topics, and a video like this gets the message across very clearly without being rude or mean about it. And for most people it's way more fun to watch a funny video than to read a page of rants about posting etiquette.

We could have someone make it with Balto characters or something so it's fun and relevant to this site.

I have an idea : maybe I could make a script, so that it automatically sends this (or the rules or something similar) to each member on the site that registered three days previously. This way, the new members would have more chances to read the rules or see this than when they have just registered.

Heyyy.... I like that idea too.
