Well, the name of this topic gripped me, and now...
Holy snap.
All four of your mentioned fics make me feel...uh-h-h *shudders*
Kodi/Dakota... I'd have to read about your Dakota, but still....
Dingo/Balto... I'm not sure I want to know... What the heck is the deal with all the incest fics floating aroud here?! This...seems to be pushing it a little.
Steele/Balto... All I've got to say here is you better have a **** good explanation if you write this. Whatever happened to Balto returning with the medicine, settling down with Jenna, and living happily ever after? And how in the name of Aniu could this ever happen?!
And as for Kodi/Steele... *shudder* Again, how can this even happen? I'm waiting with baited breath for this one. I hope you give good reasons and lots of them.

Please forgive me, I'm just slightly shocked at this. No offense, you're a great writer, but it just seems that incest fics are popping up all over the place... And despite how well written they may be, I'm worried of the effects they could have on younger viewers. Not to mention I'm just getting sick of them.
Again, I'm sorry, but I'm only stating my opinion. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. Just voicing concern.

EDIT: And, although I admire your writing, I must say that I vote against it being written. Please feel free to write it anyway, though, because I can do little to stop you. I only ask that you think carefully.

RE-EDIT: Please believe I have nothing against different, um, preferances, but parent/sibling incest is just too much. Some sibling incest I can understand, provided it's not just written for the sake of incest.
Also, please believe I hold you in the highest respect as a writer, but I felt the need to voice my opinion.

I say it's different, witch is good. Your doing something no one else here would do, and I'm going to say this now you'll be met with unwelcome arms, If you really want to do it, do it.

GreyWolf, I do have to ask what made you come up with ideas like these. This is a kid's site, and therefore, I don't think that fanfics like these are necessary. But, if the people who disagree don't change your mind, then be my guest and write it. Like White wolf said, I would keep the rating to be PG-13 just to be safe. I think the site is still recovering from other incest stories from the past. People are allowed to voice their opinion, you know.
Sara, I'm sure that GreyWolf knows that, and there's no need to remind them. But GreyWolf, if you want advice from me...I'd vote for not writing this fanfic. It could ruin your reputation as a talented and respected writer.
But, it's up to you.

I thought I made it plain that I was only stating concern. As I and Kari have said, this is a kid-oriented site. (Or at least it was...)
I'm terribly sorry that some of your story ideas haven't worked out. I know the feeling. (I've sometimes spent weeks thinking of, planning, and writing up starters for fics, only to realize on closer inspection that they don't keep with my style, or don't fit the series I have, or whatever...)
Like Kari, I will recommend PG-13. I do realize you're planning on keeping it there, and I thank you and applaud you for doing so.

Well, please don't stay in your 'Dark Era' for long, and if you must, I feel it is my duty to advise against writing much while in it.
Bad moods of any kind can lead to some rather distructive, and often shocking stories. (I do believe it was Rotramel who first told me that, so now I tell you.)

As for the warning...
Honestly, sometimes I wonder if people have brains any more.
Here's an example from my gallery:
Someone reads my fic Balto: Betrayal and decides to flame me once. Now, although I did subtly hint to what had been done, this was as far as I went:

“I don’t remember getting much sleep,” he replied, “It’s been a while since Fairbanks, Jenna, but you haven’t changed at all.” Jenna felt a lump in her throat and swallowed hard. “What is it Jen?”

“We spent the night together, didn’t we?” Kale nodded and smiled. “I…I hardly remember it all,” Jenna said. Suddenly, her face lost all color as visions of the night before overwhelmed her. She put a paw to her stomach and her cream-colored face turned pale. Kale smiled again and said,

“I really enjoyed last night, Jen.” Jenna began to shake so badly that she couldn’t stand.

Yet even without a description of any kind, someone can always find a reason to complain and gripe.
*sigh* The summaries (and now ratings) are there for a reason. Anyone who reads it and disregards it, or disregards it all together, and then reads the story and is upset somehow has little sympathy from me.

Good luck with your, um, Kodi/Steele fic....

I'm very glad to see that everyone here is'nt trying to push this story aside just because it's different. I'm glad that everyone seems to be happy for you!

It's expected no watter what you do someone will always be mad at you. Just think nothing of it, more people will love it than hate it.
