I haven't got tourettes but Big Brother finished yestaday. The winner, Pete (aka Legend!) had tourettes and I just found it so sweet. Does anybody here have tourettes? If you don't know what tourettes are;
Tourette Syndrome was considered rare and exotic at one time (however now,) Tourette's syndrome is a relatively common childhood-onset disorder defined by persistent motor and vocal tics and frequently associated with obsessions, compulsions, and attentional difficulties."
- James F. Leckman, Donald J. Cohen of the Yale Child Study Center.
Tourette Syndrome is best defined in the archives and pages of neurological conditions, syndromes, and disorders. Initially Tourette Syndrome was seen as extremely rare and an individual was viewed as having violent muscle contortions (motor tics) and vocal disruptions (vocal tics) combined with outburst of swearing and obscenities. (Tourette history) However Dr. David E. Comings writes in Tourette Syndrome and Human Behaviour, "...Tourette Syndrome is one of the most common genetic conditions affecting humanity and many more carry the trait."

I haven't got Tourettes.
Yes, I just feel so sorry for the people who do have it, they're usually bullied.

I hope no one who's easily offended by swearing watches those vids.
I found Pete quite funny actually and I'm so glad he won, YAY, I've never watched BB before coz I did'nt like it but this time I watched it just to see pete.
Pete rocks!!
Feel kinda sorry for people with tourettes though, does'nt seem like much fun at all...unless you're pete who loves having tourettes.

Yeah, I hope so too. lol
I always watch BB, it's awesome! He was so funny in the final, when he pretended to scream when he was out the doors, then trying to get back through the doors again. xD
If Pete didn't win I would of liked Richard to win. Anyway, tourettes is no fun, well except for Pete, it must be awful at school.

ODD=Oppositional Defiant Disorder
ODD is a psychiatric disorder that is characterized by two different sets of problems. These are aggressiveness and a tendency to purposefully bother and irritate others. It is often the reason that people seek treatment. When ODD is present with ADHD, depression, tourette's, anxiety disorders, or other neuropsychiatric disorders, it makes life with that child far more difficult. For Example, ADHD plus ODD is much worse than ADHD alone, often enough to make people seek treatment. The criteria for ODD are:
A pattern of negativistic, hostile, and defiant behavior lasting at least six months during which four or more of the following are present:
1. Often loses temper
2. often argues with adults
3. often actively defies or refuses to comply with adults' requests or rules
4. often deliberately annoys people
5. often blames others for his or her mistakes or misbehavior
6. is often touchy or easily annoyed by others
7. is often angry and resentful
8. is often spiteful and vindictive
The disturbance in behavior causes clinically significant impairment in social, academic, or occupational functioning.

Well since you said don't feel sorry for you I guess I won't...or at least try not to, I think it'd be cool to meet someone with tourettes, dunno why...I guess I just think they're cool.
Hehe, you know...some of those things that people with ODD do describe me frighteningly closely...*gulps*.
