ok, so my family and I are going on a fair sized trip to Alaska next year. This trip includes going to Denali National Park, and I wasn't sure what the best way to see it was. I've heard it's best by bus, but I wanted to get some more opinions.

If you've gone to Denali and have any opinion or information, I'd love to hear about it.

That'll be a GREAT trip! Denali is said to be beautiful in the extreme! You can bike it I hear, or hike (bring bug repellent...I hear the mosquitos in bush Alaska are FIERCE in the "warmer" months!). Though it is true that bus trips are offered. I found out a lot from various Alaska travel guides I purchased in Borders bookstore recently. Remember there are TWO parks with the name "Denali"...the Alaska state park and its neighbor, the U.S. national park. The famed Mount McKinley appears to be visible from the state park, but actually sits in the national park.

You don't know how lucky you are to be going there! Make sure you stop by the mushers' boot camp! They run the dogs every day for tourists. I watched the documentary of Denali many times on the Travel channel. Bus is the best way to get around.

Thanks for the info BaltoSeppala. I'll check out the sites. I still have a while before I go (a year), but lots of research needs to be done. :D

danali is awsome i went there a few years ago. If you want to see a good amount of th epark I would take th ebus. You can see alot of the animals. but when ever you go there your chances of seeing wolves is slim. But you might see a grizzly bear. I did. & you see animals like caribou, moose, elk, & mountain goats. If your lucky you will see mount MC kienly

Interesting, hope you have fun in that trip, it looks that it will be great since it will be in alaska, where wilderness rules.
