Yep, $40 more dollors and I'll be able to afford a Wii! But how much will the games cost? $20 supposedly.

Nintendo has won nothing, yet. "According to Nikkei the Wii COULD be released for as little as $169. " That's not a definate.

Even so...$169's a good estimate. What's the most it could turn out to be? $300? That's still a heck of a lot cheaper than the opening price for a PS3 or XBox 360.

i hope it stays at $169, if so im definately getting a Wii.

Evo, it'll be cheaper than a PS3 or Xbox 360 no matter what! Besides it's motion sensitive! I wouldn't care if it took me six months to earn $300 (Let's hope it doesn't get that high.) to buy it, it'd be worth it!

Also that site does not look like anything that is officly made by Nintendo staff or by any gaming industry, it looks more like a bunch of Nintendo geeks trying to rise the hopes of Nintendo's fans and really has nothing to do with the official Nintendo corperation, very sad.

nintendo has already said they do not care about winning. Your ways of research are AMAZING!. I really see the fear in nintendo's..especially with their DS sales...i mean geesh..they were so low! /sarcasm.

Only the ignorant fear change...or something new. I really see them rising hopes like Microsoft did with their whole ceremony.

I dont see lowering price as being pathetic either, I mean...thats called good marketing and offering something everyone can afford...an intelligent move. Because something everyone can get is a bad thing /sarcasm

Well I won’t believe something until it’s in print and out on the market. Personally I find the Wii although cool in some respects as far as the game downloading for other older consoles like SNES and SEGA and the controller. I’m a graphics person and I’d rather shell out more cash on the PS3 or even XBOX (Even though I hate Microsoft) then pay such a small price for a console with underrated specs. Don’t get me wrong older games are great if you wanna play 8bit NES and 16bit SEGA all day but I want some true power in my console thanks.

This is why i hate people...we go for power not for fun anymore.

Also your right, it is good market sales and you were the one who started this whole challenging systems thing, so are you saying you lied? I think so.


But for market sales yeah that price is good, but they said not for sure, and it shows they didn't put much time or effert or things to make the Wii or they would need to charge more to actully make money off of it, to build a concel it takes time and money, and if they are selling the Wii for that much then how much time and things do you think they put into it? along with money? not much, so is it really going to be that great? it really doesn't matter about price the main part is how well it was made and all of the other requerments to the point in making a concel.

Also everyone who knows and likes Nintendo should know that Asia is where it gets it's popularty from, no where else as much as the way bigger corperations and manufactering companies.

But I do wish good luck to the Wii and I hope that it will be of use to help lots cure there emotion of boredem.
