Old Metallica hands down. I'm not sure about Rammstein, but Godsmack does not even come close when compared to old Metallica. Too bad the new Metallica sucks.

Well Metalica is old metal, new age metal is automaticly heavier, and Godsmach is new age metal, so I say godsmack, and Rammstein is not metal, it's industral and cannot not be compared to metal because the results are not accurt.

Metallica! they're the pioneers of thrash/speed metal. just listen to the album Kill Em' All, Ride The Lightning, or Master Of Puppets. Rammstein and Godsmack are ok, but they got nothing on old Metallica.

sad but true. St. Anger is terrible!! they're working on a new album now, but its not due out untill sometime in 07. i hope it will be better than St. Anger
