Yes Mortal Kombat the game that taught you to "Finish Him" and the game that Ignited an uproar in D.C. Anyone seen the movie or Played the game?

I prefer Halo over Mortal Kombat.

Halo is'nt anything like MK. Halo is a Shooter while MK is a Fighting game.

I know that. Besides I already played all 6 games and saw both movies I didnt like them much.

im not a real fan of fighting games but i know that mortal kombat was a decisive game for the genre.... lol... FINISH HIM!... Sub zero wins... FATALITY....

to tell yo uthe truth i prefer Tactial shooters like Rainbow six,Swat 3 or socom us navy seals..
and also strategy... has anyone played starcraft or red alert?

Mortal Kombat the fear of keyboards all over the world. I destroyed 1 because of the intense hotseat combat around 1996, dont know about the newer series but the MK 1, 2 and 3 made us have fun and enjoy even if the graphics where shocking for a child for whom the first game played was Half Life, CS or Clive Barker's Undying.

Starcraft lol i played it with my uncle first and then myself till 2000, just loved em firebat runs or the Battleships in later stages (comment: "Battleship Operational") .
Red Alert too was a played and loved game it started in 1996 with a game called C&C (Command and Conquer) the first Red Alert was a bluff people wanted Tiberian Sun not another addon or pack, even if its true that the Allie-Soviet bill fits better for some instead of NOD-GDI (Brotherhood of nod, GDI-Global Defence Initiative) but still filling your map with mamoth tanks and losing time like this wasnt the funest moments in C&C.
Tiberian Sun a mediocre game that shocked all fans and let them down (Westwood should be asamed, whoops sry it was gone sry, bye bye Westwood)
Red Alert 2 was better this one i played until a year ago, the favorites where the soviets even if they dont have enough air-power, but on the ground they are GODS and the allies with their mediocre combat (Prism tanks, Mirage tank based on technology not on strength, never liked them a prism tank was destroyed in 1 shot by a apocalipse) and power in the air. The C&C series is the one (with Dune) that formed the RTS genre without these 2 (+Warcraft 2 or even the first Warcraft - Orcs & Humans) the genre would never be the same.
I can still remember about Total Annihilation, it was a shock the first 3D RTS perfectly made, tanks where scrapable, and the Commander with his D-Gun ruled the battleground in the beggining stages.

I never liked the Mortal kombat games : akward gameplay, ugly characters, bloody for no good reason, ...at the time it was released I always considered it to be a cheap copy of Street fighter 2.

Mortal Kombat was older than streetfighter and it got a lot of things from it, even if in some moments the blood level is too exagerated.
Anyway everybody with his tastes, but i dont know why we all love to play violent games, violence sells like bread these days...

No it's not older than Street fighter 2, at least in arcade. At least it is not older than the first Street Fighter...

and also... the battleship operational..... its ths battlecruiser unit.. the strongest air unit in starcraft....
